I've just read about the Pittsburgh health club shootings last night and then it was just on the news. Why can't these lunatics simply kill themselves first instead of after? What a waste!

OH!

The cast of the current revival of Hair just performed on "The View" - and I though I had spied a friend of mine in the cast.  And when I checked his Facebook page, sure enough, he's in Hair now!  -And since I coached him for his auditions... :)

Oh, thanks a lot, TD, for your Ask BK question--I had almost completed negotiations for ROPE:  THE MUSICAL.  ;)

Hasn't that been done as THRILL ME?  (sorta/kinda)

Yes, but my version was going to be good.

I have officially been offered this job.  Can't give out details until everything's signed and sealed, but it is an actual paying job (and well paying, too, at that) which will combine my interest and supposed knowledge of music and writing.  I am very excited.

And do you have any inkling if any travel would be involved for your new job?  Maybe to some place, like.... Rio? ;)

DR MattH hope you get your airconditioning woes fixed!

Btw, on FOX tonight is part 1 of the SEASON FINALE of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (which i believe is 2 hours).

Sounds like you should find a woman reviewer to do the shows you hate (like THE HILLS or the HANNAH MONTANA movie).  Heck, i'm even sort of curious about the latter.

BTW, FJL, you'll be "thrilled" to know that one of the two CDs the "person" wants a refund for is The Last Starfighter - the other?  Stages/Together Again.  At least he has good taste - or not.

At least one of DR elmore's post office branches is not on the list:

14 Post Offices (Not 53) May Be Shuttered in City

*But I am very surprised to see the Port Authority location on the list.  That one is always busy.

Hi.  I'm in Craig & Ioana's apartment in Philly.  I had a great time at the Phillies game last night, except for the fact they lost, with Craig and 4 of my friends.

Now we are going to take a walk around the neighborhood with Yogi & go by the location where my Dad lived when he was a baby.

Bye until I return home.

Did the two mile jog and could have done three since no one has shown up yet.  I guess they don't understand what I'm done at two means.

Have you thought that maybe he entered them in his iTunes and now he wants a refund? The Drama Book Shop had a no refund policy on books because it was easy to go and  photocopy the page or pages they needed for the monologue and then return the book.

ASK BK -

What Hitchcock film's screenplay do you think would make an interesting piece of musical theater?
What Hitchcock film would you personally want to write as a musical?

Maybe 39 Steps.  Maybe Shadow Of A Doubt - that's about it.

Aw, c'mon!  Wouldn't you like to see Stephen Sondheim's THE BIRDS--designed and directed by Julie Taymor?

Some of the song possibilities:

The Ladies Who Perch
Have I Got a Gull for You
Another Hundred Budgies
The Road Runner You Didn't Take

DR Jose, thanks for posting this! I think if the post offices were run more efficiently with an attitude of get-'em-in-get-'em-out, instead of the endless lines and waiting, they might not be in so much trouble. I've never had a long wait in a London PO and I think the US post offices are really inefficient. I love the automated postage machines and wish the 83rd Planetarium Station had a second one to ease up things.

I cannot believe the West Village and the Port Authority spots are on the list; those are congested areas of residents.

Thank you, DR Kerry.  It's pretty quiet on that front today and I don't know if that's good or bad.

And he could even re-purpose "Your Fault"!  -Take it away, DR FJL.

Even "By The Sea" could be used as an opening number!

And then, of course, the great Act One closer, "Now You Crow".

The only one I could think of for Sondheim and Hitchcock is "You Could Drive a Person Psycho"

Well, throw in a little Chorus Line and you get "Mother dead, always at the window looking all the time"
