DR Jose, do you have any suggestions for home made ice cream/gelato/whatever that would be tasty but not too fattening?
Sorbets are non-fat since they're basically just frozen fruit purées. However, some sorbet recipes call for egg whites - also fat-free - to add some "body" to them (as well as some protein too).
Actually, the easiest sorbet recipe I've come across:
-Buy a can of pears in syrup.
-Freeze the can.
-Take can out of freezer, open can, and serve.
Ice creams and ice milks can be easy and fat-free, but those types of recipes don't usually yield the tastiest results.
