LORD LOVE A DUCK
« on: August 06, 2009, 12:14:57 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were ducky, and now it is time for you to post until the ducky cows come home.  I wonder if you have ducky cows if you can then have cowky ducks?

Good news, George.  Are you reading for a specific role or the ensemble (who get to play many roles).  And just tell the director that if you're cast, the writers will come up to see you!

Thanks, BK!  In all the shows that I've done with Theater Artists Olympia (TAO), I've had relatively few lines...and I've really enjoyed that.  But in this show (if I'm cast), I would like a more substantial role.  I know I'm not right for Fred and more than likely not Zubrick, either (I wouldn't turn them down, though).  But I think that I could be the Narrator or The Brain him-(it?)-self. ;) I've only been a title character once (Charlie Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown in 2002), so maybe it's time for another show-titled role.  I hope that Josh (the director/music director) can see me in one of those roles, also. :D

And thanks also to FJL and Ginny and Kerry and DAW and Cillaliz for the congrats and good wishes!

But I have to keep telling myself, it's only the call-backs...I'm not cast, yet. ::)

Good mornng, all!

Thank you, all, for the good wishes. I will really need them today, since this is my first day truly away from the apartment: the barber at 10:30, a holiday album meeting at noon, and then a jaunt to Toyland before I either hail a taxi or try the subway for a trip back home. I'm taking the pain meds with me, but I am making a serious effort to break away from them.

I have little news besides that at the moment.

Thursday morning greetings!  We've received word that John is in surgery, so we'll be heading up there soon.  Thanks to DRs Vixmom and FJL for the vibes I found here this morning.

Good morning!

Got up to 93 yesterday and today should be the same. Usually August summers in the South are the worst, and we are forecast for five straight days in the 90s. We did get some rain during the night.

I found PLANET EARTH so addictive that I breezed through the discs too quickly, and now I enjoy going back and rediscovering the many pleasure of this fantastic series.

High definition is the ONLY way to see the series and appreciate its complexity.

My work project today is STARGATE: ATLANTIS: Fans' Favorites on Blu-ray. I've never seen the series, but the program is made up of the 88-minute pilot episode and the 46-minute series finale. I have never watched the show, but I'm assuming since I will see the pilot, I will get proper introduction to the characters and be easily able to follow along.

There don't appear to be any bonus features listed on the case, but there may be some once I start watching the disc.
