DR TCB - Yep, that's Scott.  Although, he never looks that butch in person. *He's on Facebook if you'd like to be his friend. ;)

No, I would rather think of him as he is in that photo.

Ginny, I am sorry to say that Mama Ginny only hangs around to lick the milk off their faces when I'm done feeding them. She has no use for The Big Comfy Bed.

At 9pm I will record GLEE.

But on the CW there is a new show called THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE, about the rfashion industry. I watched it online and actually really liked it!

I thought we just might like it & recorded the show.  Keith & I never made it past the runway ;D

I wouldn't recommend it for you or Keith. Actually I don't think you'd care for most of the shows on the CW.

DR MattH, I wonder if the CW really cares about the ratings. At least for the first season. I mean they don't have anything else. And it was actually much better than i was expecting.

Tonight another new episode of GLEE which I'm looking forward to. I'm going to sample the ABC sitcoms that come on opposite GLEE: MODERN FAMILY and COUGAR TOWN (though I won't see them until I eat lunch tomorrow).

CBS' schedule is all returning shows with their season premieres tonight.

NBC has the poorly reviewed new show MERCY and LAW & ORDER: SVU on its new night and time.

At 8pm there are actually 3 shows that are quite similar and would appeal to the same audience:

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, DANCING WITH THE STARS and SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

I will also try EASTWICK at 10pm.

I love DANCING WITH THE STARS.  I would enjoy watching SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.  However, there is no punishment known to mankind or to Guantanamo Bay that could force me to watch AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL.  I see no similarity between MODEL and the other two programs.

Well i think ANTM would appeal more towards women (which i think the other two do as well).

Have you ever seen ANTM to dislike it so much? I love it!

Tell Mom to vote for Donny!

can't vote until next week.   She takes notes and then after the show we talk on the phone and I cast our votes online.   I will make sure there's a vote for Donny for you :)

I actually prefer to vote during the show (since by phone you only have 30 minutes after the show to vote). But you can start voting as soon as the show starts.

After i get my favorite i usually call before they dance (the lines aren't busy then).

But for the first two shows i waited till i saw something i liked then voted. And then waited till after the relay and voted for who i liked in that!

It is cute how much your mom likes the show.

Btw, for DR Laura re: DWTS and Donny Osmond.

I would suspect that Donny Osmond is one of the more popular contestants this year. So i don't think he'll need our votes. The votes are partly based on the judges. But a big part is the audience. If a performer is very popular/has a big fanbase then that can keep them around for a long time.

In this case, donny has a big fanbase AND he is a good dancer.

I would guess he will most likely make it at least till final 4.

Well... I've watched ANTM from time to time, and even I can't tolerate Tyra and Ms. Jay any longer. Thankfully - for the CW - it's a very cheap show to produce, so, ratings or no ratings, they can keep it running for as long as Tyra Banks wants - or threatens - to keep it going.

As for it's target audience, it's geared towards teenage girls and gay men who want to be teenage girls. ;)

DR Jose, my sister's mother in law came back tonight from a cruise she took (she's Filipino). Apparently she went with a big group of her friends (all Filipino). And that a LOT of the crew was Filipino.  They ended up having the chefs make them special Filipino food every night.

I thought that was funny. At first when my brother-in-law mentioned this (her son). I thought he said that the crew asked his mom to make them food. :)

I guess the chefs have learned what the people working on the shop like. I just thought it was nice that they would make a special dish for

But if you don't vote for him because you think he won't need your vote, then someone else will have more votes and will win.

We elected a rotten governor that way.

I know a bunch of people who like it. But i agree with your target audience. Teenage girls and some gay men. Although I like it, my sis likes it and even my mom watches it.

-I wonder what would happen if "American Idol" and "SYTCYD" followed the same format?

I agree with you. But in this case there are going to be tons of people voting for him. That is a fact.
On dialidol (they track the voting) he was second for the men (out of 8). He won't need my vote.

When his sister was on, she finished 3rd. And i'm sure he is way more popular than her (and she was not even that great).

I run into the same "favoritism" when I go on the Disney Cruises. I don't ask for any special dishes, but I can tell that the room stewards and dining room staff may "like" me a little more.  -And I tip them accordingly. ;)

When my parents took their Norwegian cruise earlier this year, they too were almost treated like royalty.  They stuck to the set menus in the dining rooms, but were offered some "tastes of home" every now and then.

I actually can't vote for those two. I wonder why they let canadians vote for DWTS but not for SYTYCD?

The thing that is good about the voting for DWTS is that they limit the amount of times you can vote. So you can't sit there for the full two hours.

I do like the fact that you can vote during the show. But i don't like the fact that you can only vote for 30 minutes after the show. Sometimes i record it and watch it a bit later at night.

I don't think IDOL would ever consider doing the voting this way. Because they want to say they had X million votes. And they would not want people to miss any of the singers. For some reason on DWTS you can easily just press pause or vote during the commercials!

Well my brother-in-law's mother is not shy. I forget how they got their dishes. Maybe they just made friends with the staff. But she told me tonight that they had these special Filipino dishes served at their table every single night!
