And, since I have PT tomorrow morning at 8 a.m., I need to head downstairs to bed.

Good night!

Yes, Virginia, there is still customer service department:  I'm sure all of you who cling to my every post remember I had a mammothly expensive plumbing job done here a few days ago.  Well they called to follow up and I told them that I was basically satisfied, but on one of the things they did I had been quoted $200 and ended up paying over $400 for.  Well lo and behold they called back a day later, told me I was absolutely correct and that they were issuing a $232 refund back to my credit card!  The receipt came today, with an additional $25 coupon to use on any other services I need from them.  So for just a moment of decent service and accountability they have won a customer forever!  :)

How great for you, JMK!!!!

Luck has shined upon us. Anthony is getting ready to burn the compilation CD for a certain movie we love (see my posts from Labor Day weekend if you forgot which movie). He has been looking for the George Jones Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes with no luck. Lo and Behold, he stepped away from the computer and I decided to try again. I went directly to Youtube, typed in the song title and the first thing to come up was Mr. Jones singing the song. It was added about 20 hours ago by someone named vortextx (thank you whoever you are). We now have a complete song list. I will have to e-mail a friend and tell him that we have the song and no longer need him to send us a copy.

Hoo and Ray

Glad to hear it Ben!  You and Ant should be quite satisfied!

I have no problems with UPS and USPS and packages.

Well, of course you're not about to mention any problems with USPS!  ;)

And when I finished the meeting I came to the computer and had an e-mail I've been praying would come - I've just landed a CD release that is a holy grail for me, and which has now got my foot in the door at a studio that heretofore was a closed door.  I am STOKED!  Not sure how long it will take to get the tapes, get them transfered, and begin work, but I'm hoping in the next two weeks, which will mean I can get it released before the end of the year.  Very exciting, as it involves a score I have loved large since the day I saw the film back in the early 1960s.

Great news, BK!!  Can't wait to find out what it is! :D

Actually, our mailman gets our newsletter and reads it. He often asks me about someone on our prayer list or some other item.

tonight was "Meet the teacher" night at the high school - my goodness - the teachers are all younger than young!

The Vixter's Musical Theatre Class will be going to see Bye Bye Birdie on October 7 - I wonder if we can persuade the teacher to have another field trip to see Finian's Rainbow!

And the Vixcter's chorus class is going to Carnegie Hall in March to perform!! How excitingis that!!?

I've actually been dealing with some back issues the past couple of days myself.  Just very stiff and "locked up", especially after I've been sitting down - and slouching - for a while.  I finally took some Aleve yesterday afternoon, and, all I can say is, "Aaahhhhhhh..."  :)

Finished Mackenzie's book.  As I think back on the last time we saw each other and talked, which was two years ago at the Hollywood Collector's Show that I did with Bert I. Gordon, she must have been high as a kite, which is why she a) didn't return the second day, when she'd asked if she could sit at the table next to me, and why she never called me back to have a dinner we'd talked about.  I may try to find her number and give her a buzz.

vixmom - Can they make the Birdie Parody Series Part 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bT835-V3c4g

required viewing for each student before going to see Bye Bye Birdie?  :)

And of course there's also still part 1 in the series, "Bye Bye Birthers," in case a social studies lesson on the U.S. Presidency is called for
