Thank you for the compliment, TCB. Good to see you again too, Laura.

Anybody else catch the Audrey Hepburn double-bill here in L.A. over the weekend? They showed Sabrina and Love in the Afternoon, neither of which I'd ever seen before. Interesting that both films paired her up with men who were appreciably older than she was. Bogart was laughably miscast in Sabrina, but it was still a charming movie. I couldn't take seeing her moon over Gary Cooper, though.

I wish you would drop by more often, Bretty.

Very exciting news - I've known this was a possibility for the last couple of weeks, but the person involved wasn't back in town until yesterday and he agreed to do it today.  So, at midnight tonight we announce our new Kritzerland limited edition CD and the first 100 people to order it at Kritzerland will receive signed copies by the composer - our first time trying this.  It's a really delightful score by a very underrated composer who still has quite a big following.  You'll want to get your orders in pronto.

My Paypal account is waiting with great anticipation! :D

Hardly any wind today. Yeah!  I biked around the lake for the first time in about 2 weeks (i'd been biking just not there). It was so beautiful!

Nice. :)  I went for an extra long walk in the park today.  My doctor's appointment was canceled, just before I walked in the door) giving me extra time.  It was a perfect beautiful autumn afternoon for the walk.

Vibes for the poor person at the hospital who needed the doctor's attention.

I forgot to mention that I watched BROTHERS & SISTERS before I headed out to lunch. Tommy was back for a one episode visit. The Luc storyline was ridiculous. The father is remarried and the mom is worried the kids will freak out because she's dating? The logic escapes me.

Kevin and Scotty had unecessary drama with their surrogate.

Uncle Saul catches Ryan rifling through Holly's desk and kind of shrugs it off after the kid feeds him a slick snake oil explanation.

In other words, I found last night's episode pretty infuriating.

I felt this way, too.  I don't know how much longer I can keep watching. :P

And DR elmore3003 chimed right in with this good advice for a newcomer:

Welcome, DR Singdaw!  DR Sandra will ask if you like cherry Coke, DR MBarnum will ask if you're a body builder.  If the answer to either is yes, leave now while you can!  ;D

He left out I would ask if you had any pets ;)

Our NYC apartment saga continues.  The envelope (provided by DR Julie) in which I sent back the mailbox key was returned to me in today's post.  Seems I'd used the wrong address and zip code.  In my email exchange with our landlady, I learned that the elevator in the building is now operational (as of last Thursday).  She says everyone is thrilled and we'll get one night's rent added to the refund of our deposit  ;D

Good for her.  I was hoping she would do something to compensate for all the stairs you had to walk.

re: last night's BROTHERS & SISTERS

In other words, I found last night's episode pretty infuriating.

Does anybody recognize the surrogate michelle. She is played by Roxy Olin (currently on MTV's THE CITY). She is the daughter of Ken Olin and Patrica Wettig (who are both on BROTHERS & SISTERS).

DR MattH i disagree with you re: sarah being careful with introducing luc to her kids.

He's not even really her boyfriend. She is just recently divorced. What should she have done? Moved him into their house right away? It doesn't matter what her ex does. I think that most people in her situation wouldn't even introduce the kids to anyone unless it was a serious relationship. JMO.

What i found unrealistic was the daughter (paige's reaction). I seriously doubt that any little kid is gonna want her mother's boyfriend moving in. And i also found her saying he could stay in the guest room to seem too mature for a kid her age to say.

I am having no luck finding my first post on the old board. Maybe I wasn't MBarnum back then?

Here ya' go, Mikey! -04/27/2003.

That was fun, and we did send good vibes prior to the karma fiasco.  I had forgotten.

I agree with you about Gary Cooper & don't care fo Love in the Afternoon at all.  I once read the ending was changed.  I think the original one fit the movie and the Cooper character better.

As for Bogart, originally I wasn't sure about his casting in the role.  With each viewing I changed my opinion & now think he was well casted to play the grumpy serious brother.
