DR MATTH I ordered Mr Willson's book.  Thanks for the heads up on the low price!

I'm looking forward to it, too. I just got the book on LADY IN THE DARK that someone here recommended the other day. Can't wait to start reading it tonight.

OK, that post finally went through.

I'm now at DF&H#2's house, along with my stuff. DF&H#2 was very kind about helping me transport said stuff yesterday. I think he was surprised at how much I had; well, I was surprised myself. WHERE DOES IT ALL COME FROM?? I've now repacked some of it and put it into storage here at his house.

i'm glad you have now moved into a warm home.  i'm sure you a rather weary of all this moving & hope you can stay put for awhile.

The AFI named its Top Ten TV shows of 2009. They are (in alphabetical order):

The Big Bang Theory, Big Love, Friday Night Lights, Glee, Mad Men, Modern Family, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, Nurse Jackie, Party Down and True Blood.

Five of them I watch their entire season of episodes. BIG BANG I watch a few times a year. I've never even heard of PARTY DOWN.

Back from the meeting.  Anyone who hasn't sent me an address, should.  The end of this week is probably the cut-off for me sending anything before Xmas.

I'm hopping off-line now and will start to work on the writing part of the work project. Then, I'll head back down for U-591. Then tonight's episode of THE CLOSER.

While I was at it, I got the SOUTH PACIFIC Blu Ray that has been discussed favorably here on HHW.  It was only about $20.

Speaking of family, I sent my brothers an email about the property over a week ago and neither one of them has responded.  I cannot believe that bitch Lady M didn't see it, so I am not certain what's with the silence.

Too bad you can't make them buy you out of your share NOW, based on what they think (or expect) that they will eventually be able to get for it. :-\

MR BK can you identify the October 20, 1958, ABC program called BARBARY COAST with Mr Larry Pennell and Miss Allison Hayes.  It definitely looks like a ZIV production, but I can't find anything on the inner web about it....save the photos on EBAY.  And since they are 4x5 and not television publicity size 7x9 - they must be reprints.  The number on the bottom is no help either.

It is a mystery.  Maybe Perry Mason can help.

The Monday ABC schedule for the fall of 1958 was:

7:30 - Polka Go Round, obviously appealing to the intellectuals

8:30 - Bold Journey, a filmed travel log program

9 - The Voice of Firestone, classical music performed by Rise Stevens, and others

9:30 - Anybody Can Play, but nobody wanted to

10 - This Is Music, or so they say

10:30 - John Daly & the News

I'm just taking a short breather here after taking a nice stroll up on the High Line. Even in the not-so-dead of winter, it's still makes me smile.

As for the Topic of the Day...

Hmm...

Leelee SobieskiChloe Sevigny in "The Brown Bunny"?

I'd read one article which suggested that that might not have actually been Vincent Gallo in that particular scene with Chloe Sevigny. ::)

So... Are you saying that Vincent Gallo used a stunt c*ck?

I deliberately dropped my asking price $100,000 below my share of what they were asking before the crash, but Macbeth would ony buy out my share if I dropped my asking price even lower so that he could gloat over shafting me for the rest of his pathetic life. I bend but I won't let the ass break me.

And on another unpleasant front, around 5:15 I called to leave a THIRD message for my doctor. I was put on hold and then told she wants me to make an appointment. So, on Wednesday at 11:15 I have to go in, all for a damned prescription. She's so far on the shitlist, I doubt she'll ever get off it.

Now I have to go to a Men's Chorus rehearsal to hear the band. I'm worried I'll run into Ms Clark there since she's the guest star next Sunday and in her own mind.

I'm not saying that...just that I'd read that it was a possibility.

And the person in the photo with me is the loverly Kevin Hall, relatively new poster to HHW. He spent the day helping out at the Bag Packing and he came over for a visit because we stopped early today. He had time before seeing Brent's show this evening. We had a very nice chat and we decided to take a picture of him and I at the tree so I decided to put on my new wardrobe piece.

Speaking of bag packing, things have gone so well that we will be completely finished sometime tomorrow. Kevin was a big help today and our thanks to him for pitching in so fully. I look forward to seeing him again when he comes to New York.
