This is the proof they sent me for our Christmas ad in the local Spanish Language paper.  It totally cracked me up

I don't understand Spanish, so I am assuming this does not say you represent the slaves on the Amistad.

The answer to the question "Does anyone still wear a hat?"

Love the folksy feel of that ad - makes you come across as very easy to talk to, which I expect means a lot to clients.

DR ELMORE thanks for the lovely card and for the perfect Musical Gift - which I had no idea even existed!

That was fast!

I need every DR's help today: what are some similar words for a Screenplay treatment?

All I can think of are Draft and Screenplay and Treatment and I need a new first letter!

I'm up, have had my long distance telephonic conversation with the East Coast co-author, which went very fast and was easy/breezy.  Now I must print out orders.

DR TCB -- I wish I had sirius radio!

There's another interview (and song) with Brent on Seth's Chatterbox:

Good morning. I stayed up way too late last night and all I want to do is jump back into bed.

and I woke up to the very sad news that actress Connie Hines (Carol Post on MR. ED) passed away. She was such a sweet, delightful person and I am crushed to know that she is no more.

We had planned on doing an interview a few years back, but she was ill at the time and we never did get around to rescheduling, which I will always regret.

Washington DC is closed down?!?  Ha!  People in our area were out buying cookie sheets during the hight of the storm!

Yep.  And I believe some of the County School systems in and around DC have gone ahead and cancelled classes for the rest of the week. -Well, at least until Wednesday when the Christmas/Holiday break was supposed to start anyway.

Hey!  I don't know if this has been mentioned, since I can't read the posts at work.  However, I jumped in my car this morning to go to work, and Brent Barrett magically appeared on my radio.  At first I thought I was listening to CHIRSTMAS MORNINGS, but actually it was Sirius Radio's On Broadway playing CHIRSTMAS TIME.  After the song ended they announced that they would be airing an interview and music with Brent at 9:00 p.m. EST on Christmas Eve; and that the show would air again on Christmas Day at (I believe) 6:00 p.m.

Thanks for the heads up, DR TCB.  Here's the info from Sirius On Broadway page:

Quote
Celebrate Christmas with Chicago’s Brent Barrett!
Thurs 12/24 9:00 pm ET
Currently starring as Billy Flynn in Broadway’s Chicago, Brent Barrett (Annie Get Your Gun, Grand Hotel, Dance a Little Closer) is just as at home in the studio as on the stage, and his latest album Christmas Mornings is a beautiful way of celebrating Christmas. Brent visits Seth Rudetsky to talk about his performances on Broadway, Off-Broadway, the West End and on tour, as well as the making of this latest album and why the holidays mean so much to him.  (1 hr)

Rebroadcast: Fri 12/25 3:00 pm ET; Sat 12/26 12:00 pm ET

Groceries?    Check.

Now on to cooking, laundry, and cleaning.

You may want to fasten your seatbelts.           ::)

That's not a bad idea, DR JRand59!

ONE LIFE TO LIVE kicked off today with a bang from Roxy, who suffers from too much sex, drugs and rock 'n roll in the 70's, I suspect.

Here's a photo of last night's performance of the "Appalachian Carols" at Town Hall. The "Love Lives On" quilt in the back is the Chorus' AIDS quilt with 148 stars on it representing deceased chorus members.

Those tributes/memorials still get to me...

Sounds like it was a beautiful concert.
