We went to the Sweet Factory. My mom's Christmas presents to them were gift cards.

They had quite an adventure taking the bus. The Goldstein Sisters think the bus is great fun.

the bus is fun, as long as it is a novelty & not done during rush hour.  rush hour in L.A. cured my children of wanting to ride the bus again.

I put away my Christmas kitsch decor.

I have also been swapping out certain pieces of living room furniture for some that are stored in my garage. For unknown reasons I am forever trying to rearrange my living room.

Even as a kid, I liked to constantly rearrange my bedroom. I wonder what all that means. I guess I just like variety.

I am now very tired and shall take a nap...although I know the post man will arrive at any time in the next two hours, which will more then likely me up.

You're having kinky sex with the postman?

I had a loverly dinner with DRs vixmom, the Vixter, and edisaurus and her DS Greg at Broadway Joe's Steakhouse on 46th Street across from Joe Allen's. DR vixmom and the Vixter had a good time at RAGTIME, and it was wonderful to see them.  Dinner ended arpound 7:15 and DR edisaurus and Greg went to TKTS to look at what was available, DR vixmom headed north to their parkling location and I headed over to the theatre to see Joshie, Rob, and the gang. Istayed downstairs with Joshie and listened to the show through "Old devil Moon" on headphones and Joshie and I talked during his respites. It was a lot of fun.

Now I'm watching LAW & ORDER on NBC.

DR Jane, I finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.  One thing i found interesting was that when in most books the story would be over ... this one started onto new levels.

I am going to pick up book 2 tomorrow.

I wonder if it and book 3 are as complex as parts of book 1. I think book 3 does not come out in English until may 2010.  If book 3 is as complex, i wonder if it would be too tough in French. I may check it out since it seems that book 3 is available at my library in french.

I pulled my niece on her new sled again.

At least it is good exercise.

Across the street from  her house is a very small hill. So i pushed her down it over and over ...

She loved it.

But it was too cold out!

i like that the story doesn't unravel in the usual manner.  i think book 2 is more complex than 1.  i read them a good time apart.  after you are done with book 2 you could begin reading it in french and see how it goes.  from what you have said i think you might be better off waiting until may.

More likely with the postman's father.

Or grandfather.

I was off eating a bowl of rum raisin ice cream.

Oh... I can't remember the last time I had rum-raising ice cream. -Although, I seem to recall buying a pint of it sometime last year - or maybe the year before.  I also remember rum-raisin being one of the ice cream choices at the Chinese restaurant that Steve and I used to go to on almost a weekly basis.  I always meant to ask which brand Fay, the owner, which brand she served - it was quite tasty and very rum-my.

However... I did have half a cup of Raspberry Chocolate Chip and half a cup of Coconut Brownie ice cream at Bev's Homemade Ice Cream in Carytown a few hours ago.  Yummers!

We are home safe and sound from our lovely day in New York

It was bitter cold and the wind was really whipping so our planned walk down 5th Avenue before the show was more of a very brisk trot  - we raced past the windows at SAKS (which weren't very attention grabbing any way I am afraid) -  stopped in at St. Patricks's Cathedral where we warmed our hands on the Cardinals radiator behind the main altar - then stopped in at the American Girl Store - we were both greatly disappointed by the recent changes.

The theatre is gone now and the magic seems to have worn off - or maybe we are just too grown up now - but it no longer seems the fun  "girls club"  just another store,,,,,

During What If? I took the bus down Santa Monica Blvd. one day just because I had the time... That's one looooooong road.  I also found out that Sunset Blvd. goes on... and on... and on.  Ah, a Baby reference!)
