I wonder what happens when the little dutch girl raises her arms? Would we see what's under her apron? I'm glad it's bright and gay!

Maybe we'd find out it's a little dutch boy...

I thought of that, but if he was gay, would he be under my apron?  ;)

Thank you for the birthday wishes, Jennifer and Matt!

Matt, I may be working on a project with someone from Charlotte. Who knows...but I may see more of Charlotte than the airport this year!

I'm sitting in the sun surrounded by cats. There's a cat head on each wrist. Makes it hard to type, but they're so cute!

Life is good.

Yes...sure am glad to be back home with them!

I love MBarnum's card. Elmore and Singdaw also sent me some of those fancy e-cards. Elmore's was really funny!

Happy birthday, DR Edisarus!

And a nice mention of DR Elmore on Theatermania this morning: http://www.theatermania.com/new-york/news/02-2010/midwinter-musical-musings_24609.html

It's already rained more than 1 1/2 inches here this morning and about two more expected before day's end. I may be floating by this time tomorrow. It's also cold and windy, so if you're headed to Texas for warmth, go in some other direction.

Test vibes for DRs Ginny and Druxy

And at 9pm is another installment of AMERICAN IDOL. I think it's the last show before hollywood week.

DR MattH, do you know will they be starting the actual voting during the olympics?  And will most shows be having new episodes those weeks? I'm hoping there will be mostly repeats.

No, this is sweeps month, so I think most networks will be programming new content opposite the Olympics. The Winter Olympics has never garnered the staggeringly high ratings that the Summer Olympics do.

AMERICAN IDOL has never backed away from any competition on the other networks. Yes, there will be voting during those weeks just as usual.

Keep me informed. If I'm not swamped by work, maybe we can have lunch somewhere.

Seems to be clearing up outside. Maybe we'll have a nice day after all. It looked very threatening this morning.

Back from the lab, but I decided not to go on to southern Dayton just to pick up a library book.  It's sort of raining, sort of snowing, and the temp is hovering right around freezing.  I didn't want to get caught on icy roads.

DR Larry Moore:  That amazon.com review was one of the reviews of the DVD of the "new" "Emma" for which Amazon.com is taking pre-orders.

Here it is under the headline A lavish production marred by poor casting.

Watched "The Music Man" on Blu-ray last night.

It's the best I've ever seen it.  It's the best I've ever heard it!

I thrilled, I laughed, I sang along, and I cried.

I "noticed" things I had never noticed before.

LOVED IT IN EVERY WAY!

DR Ginny: I agree on the trek to the library. It's just not worth it in this weather. A fire in the fireplace, however, might just be what is called for.

Congrats to DR MBARNUM on his article publication!  What did Lisa have to say that you can share?

She suggested that Rod Taylor was a bit fresh, and that working for Roger Corman could be hazardous to your health.

Also, her first agent wanted her to attend parties and to do things there that she was not willing to do in order to further her career...so she left that agency and went to one that put her into a ton of TV westerns and B movies.

Actually, DR John G, I was thinking of baking cinnamon pecan coffee cakes.
