Well, Blazing Saddles doesn't hold up, at least for me. There are some very funny moments but overall it's a bore. I remember laughing a lot back when I first saw it. I don't think I've seen it since then (1974). Ms. Kahn is very funny and I think the concept was probably quite daring in 1974 but it wears thin very quickly. As Hedda Lettuce said, "this is straight camp"

And I believe Shannon Stoeke was on BK's recording of Godspell. So I think I will listen to it  sometime over the weekend.

Good morning, all! I have to see a rheumatoid specialist at 9 am so I will be out of here very shortly. I turned off the lights at 11:00 pm last night to be awakened between 1:45 and 3:00 am by the ins and outs of the neighbor above me and the dog bouncing about the apartment with his claws tapping on the wood floor. I am not amused, and I guess I owe the landlord a call.

After the doctor, Toyland for a bit; I'll fax the questionable page of "Evaline McCook" to my colleague Curtis and have hi email it back to me as a jpg file so I can post it.

TOD:
DVD: the Netflix things sit here
CD: Pictures at An Exhibition, several orchestrations and piano original; Guy Haines; Liz Callaway; Finian's Rainbow; Offenbach
   VCR: lordy!

Yes we need to see the offending page itself, DR ELMORE so that we can confuse you more with our interpretations.

I was so appalled by that CAMELOT that was on PBS a year or so ago, that I can't even think about the show anymore.  Hopefully MR BK's Mordred was not a gay leather queen.....

The book is much anticipated around these parts - and I expect many comments on any review I write from some dumbass who used to hang around here.

About time to head out.

Yesterday afternoon I booked myself a room at the Hampton Inn in Amherst for two nights. I need to check the Abbott Van Nostrand-Samuel French Collection at the Amherst Library for materials on OH BOY! and OH, LADY! LADY! My freind Joseph, with whom I'm working on the 1902 WIZARD OF OZ score told me he was driving to Amherst and I invited myself along. It will be fun.

re: yesterday's "fudge topping" discussion for my peanut buttercup cheesecake

Here is a similar recipe.

http://www.thatsmyhome.com/recipes-food-6.htm

Thanks DRs jose and jane for your comments.  As you can see from this recipe there is a chocolate syrup mixed in part of the cheescake. And also I think it's definitely necessary to have the "chocolate fudge" over the top. I am going to make homemade reese peanut buttercups and i am going to make the sauces homemade.

I did find a few recipes. I think as long as the sauces taste good, i should be okay.

And it's for a SuperBowl party DR Jane, so it's not a test run! :)

Hopefully, Guenivere rememebred all the words to her songs. Not the case in the PBS travesty.

I enjoyed Oliver's few moments yesterday, especially when that bimbo called him "tuna." Looking forward to today's romp. Thanks for the reminder.

Not only am I not going to a Super Bowl party, I won't be watching the Super Bowl either. I didn't even watch the one year the Carolina Panthers made it to the Bowl, so I'm certainly not going to watch this year's edition.
