BK, have you been watching any of the Olympics or do they not interest you?

Maybe this sounds odd, but i just can't imagine anyone not being interested.

Where online can you access older Variety reviews - even shortened?  I was not able to find what I'm looking for on the Variety site, unless I was doing something wrong.

A small plane has crashed into an office building in North Austin (I'm in South Austin.) that houses an IRS office.  They're saying that it could have been an intentional act.

And, I thought that Austin was supposed to be a peaceful city.

I was about to ask you about this, DR Druxy... Apparently, the pilot had set his house on fire this morning before heading to the airport...  

That info wasn't mentioned when I read the news earlier

And this just turned up... Basically's it a suicide note...

Wow is right, and I agree with just about every word of it and have said so for years.  Enough is enough and unfortunately our "new" government officials are doing nothing and will continue to do nothing but continue the status quo.  He was right - if what he calls the "American zombies" would wake up and realize the power that people have if they band together, then and only then would things change.  I've said for years if five million people said "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" and did not file tax returns you can bet your ASS that things would change.  They cannot put five million people in jail (or one million, or five hundred thousand) - if people would stop being complacent brainwashed sheep, things would change.  There, I've said it and I'm glad.

Does BK own a plane?

There was a slip of paper in the program, but I didn't read it. I thought that it had to do with sponsors and other people who are supporters of the center, but I can check when I get home tonight.  I think I still have it.  Also, I didn't notice any kind of signage in the lobby indicating any understudies.

Well, I guess turnabout is fair play. The Olympics outscored AMERICAN IDOL's Top 24 show last night by 12 million viewers!

DR DRUXY - I have seen all of those movies you mention - though some NOT in a long time.  SHE'S WORKING HER WAY THROUGH COLLEGE has a great pedigree from the original material.....but I like SHE'S BACK ON BROADWAY a lot better, Miss Mayo has a stronger leading man in Steve Cochran than Ronald Reagan....although Gene Nelson's dancing in both films helps a lot.

Okay, based on your recommendation, I've ordered SHE'S BACK ON BROADWAY, so if I don't like it, it's on you.

 

Also, since Kathryn Grayson (and Merv Griffin) is in it, I ordered SO THIS IS LOVE.  Never seen that one either.

My birthday is this month and WHV has given me a 1 month 20% off certificate, so I might as well take advantage of it.

Oy! A person I thought was a dear friend has proven that, no matter how friendly the exterior, she's out for my blood. Given that we've been friends for 25 years, it's very sad. It's been a very ugly day and I've learned one thing: when a drunk strokes your ego, remember they're drunk.

I would think that at least certain sports would interest each person (they could be different for every person).

But even if i hated every single sport at the Olympics, to me it's a matter of national pride. I just can't imagine not caring.
