I loved, loved, loved "Lost" last night.

But if questions were answered, the questions must have been asked by folks who haven't been paying attention.

Still....it's moving along.

Ugh!--I definitely did not like last night's LOST.  I think it was the first poorly written, directed and acted episode of the entire series.  I hope the rest of the run is not like this...

DR JohnG - I'm enjoying your photos because there's some Botswana interest stirring here in SW Ohio due to that country being selected as the feature for 2010's Middfest International.
I remember that festival. Back in the 1980s, when I lived in Middletown, there was one on Japan. First time I ever tried sushi, as I recall. I really enjoyed the event.
Don't know if you read them or watch the series, but the "No. 1 First Ladies Detective Agency" is set there. They're are quite enjoyable.

Japan was 1985, one of the few Middfest's for which I did not volunteer in some capacity, because it was just a month after the birth of our DS Rob.

Middfest organizers are trying to create some interest in Botswana by encouraging the reading of the #1 Ladies' Detective series.  My book group is reading the first book in the series in April and meeting at my house to discuss it and to watch a DVD called "Botswana: In the Footsteps of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective with Alexander McCall Smith."  He will be speaking at Cincinnati's Joseph-Beth Booksellers on April 21 and Middfest is co-sponsoring the event.

I met Kevin Spirtas at 12:15, had a loverly visit and turned over the music, went to the Library for a fruitless search for Herbert songs, stopped at Kinko's to pick up some music I had bound, went to a rehearsal that did not happen, and came home. Time for lunch!

May I add a subtitle that would make the show appeal to theaters all around the country

I managed to get one MATT HOUSTON episode watched completely and the first section of another one. The one I watched found Matt involved in the world of professional boxing with Dorian Harewood and Stan Shaw as competing boxers. Dennis COle, Diane McBain, and George Takei were also in the cast.

While I ate lunch, I watched last night's WHITE COLLAR. Good episode with some real tension and Neal trying to do his FBI assistance thing as well as pursue his own agenda. WOnderful.

Then I watched BITCH SLAP. Well, it wasn't sleazy, and the director, writers, and producers all had their hearts in the right place wanting to do an homage to the old Roger Corman movies like FASTER PUSSYCAT, KILL KILL.

But the movie was just TOO long so they could have several catfights, some girl-on-girl sex scenes, several beatdowns of various men, and lots of surprise revelations and discoveries.

It was all shot with an HD camera so it looked very nice even on its super low budget.

I was wrong about their being a commentary...

There were TWO commentaries! One by the production team and one by the three female co-stars of the film. Very much overkill, especially since the only other bonus on the disc was a making of documentary which was 99 1/2 minutes long covering much of what is said in the commentaries.

I did have time to skim through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Luke, Noah, and Dr. Pill were all on, so that made it worth seeing. They weren't in the previews for tomorrow, of course.

I guess I'll hop off-line now and do some writing. Then, it'll be back downstairs to watch more MATT HOUSTON, probably last night's SOUTHLAND, and then tonight's MODERN FAMILY.

Sorry if that were unclear. The guide spotted her from 300 yards away, then we drove up to about 20 away for the pictures. Many of the cats we saw -- lions and cheetahs -- were often within reach of our vehicles. It was great to see them up close.

Sounds like a fun festival. I hope my library picks up the documentary.

Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill is a favorite of mine, and I do love Mr. Corman, but Pussycat is a Russ Meyer film.

I think we'd best be getting off page three before bitch-slapping is done right here.  Of course, I feel the makers of Bitch Slap are lurkers here at haineshisway.com :)

Greetings from Lexington, KY!  We ran a very important errand for my mother - to buy scotch - and dropped that staple off to her on our way out of town.  All settled into our hotel awaiting a call from DR Jose, who has made dinner reservations for us.

Remember how I used to complain about all the whores wanting to be friends on MySpace? Well, they're moving to Facebook. I've turned down a couple of young ladies in the past month, and today I turned down a young man who told me he liked older men! If any DRs want to meet him, I'll send you the info!
