Vibage appreciated department:  the young couple who looked at the house yesterday are returning tomorrow with their parents.  And a lady who looked today seemed very, very interested.  I'd love to get an offer this weekend, especially since Betsy's mother has been filling Betsy's head with everything that's wrong with the house and why it will never sell.  ;)

She should have filled Betsy's head BEFORE you purchased the new home ;)  Or did she.

VIBES BOTH POTENTIAL BUYERS MAKE ACCEPTABLE OFFERS!!!

Awhile back I mentioned we had a pair of Ring Necked Ducks out back.  The pair increased to 3, then to 5 & back to 3.  All in on we had ducks for a few weeks. :)  Before they moved on Keith captured a few photos through the telescope.  It wasn't easy as they dive all the time, & stay down for a good length of time.

After a rainy, blustery night last night, and heavy rain this morning; this afternoon has turned into a beautiful Spring day.  Tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer, but by Sunday the rain will return.

Yesterday we had one of these page four days at four my time.  If you go back and peruse you will see how happy I was and what I was on the verge of doing.  So it is written, so it shall be done.

I spent the day on a wildflower drive. Sadly, there's no place to pull off the road to get pictures. But it was beautiful!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Vibes for DR JMK having something to flaunt!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My 40-year reunion was a lot of fun. We certainly covered a lot of territory in catching up, and I believe we are still friends, which is good.
Thank you Laura.  I'm glad you enjoyed your time viewing wildflowers, just sorry you couldn't take photos.  I thought you were hiking & didn't realize it was a drive.  Is this a special scenic road?
I'm going to say, without naming names, that a couple of people who are normally here much more than they currently are, have stayed away because we seem to be doing nothing but one-liners here - no discourse, no fun, no wackiness - so for those who are staying away for that reason, why don't you steer instead  of just staying away.
I know that no one wants me to shut the board down and frankly I don't want to, but if we're just going to dissolve into a puddle of nothingness, and if the fun has gone out of it, well, what's the bloody point.  I have prided myself on the fact that this board is unique in what it does and what it provides, but sometimes it seems that everyone is so busy doing Facebook now that there is no time to have fun here anymore.  Which is a shame for those of us who don't see Facebook in that way - it's not a community or a board or fun like this place has been and will hopefully remain.  We've gone through this before but I've never quite seen it like this before.  So, let's have some discourse about it, shall we?
BK, everytime you threaten to shut down the board, it makes me want to say "Screw it" and walk away.  Yesterday you threatened to shut down the site because it was slow in the middle of the afternoon, and yet we ended with over 200 posts.
It seems to me that it would be a shame to shut down this site, especially now, when you have prodcutions of THE BRAIN popping up around the country and you are a few short months away from publishing your autobiography.  I don't know if this site is even mentioned in the book, but I know that once people start reading it, they are going to start Googling your name, and sooner or later will find this site.
TOD:
   DVD:  BBC collections of Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Chekhov and Coward
Larry, I have all these except the Maggie Smith one...all have terrific stuff on them.  Might I recommend Coward's PRESENT LAUGHTER with an hilarious Donald Sinden or ABSOLUTE HELL with Judi Dench.
I've been wanting to watch ABSOLUTE HELL; I read the play when I was working at Drama Book Shop. I would like to see THE SEAGULL, if it's on the Chekhov set; I like a lot of THE CHERRY ORCHARD but that idiot woman and her "should I/shouldn't I sell the orchard" drives me mad. After two acts I want to slap her silly.
Either the Chekov box or the Judi Dench box have two version of THE CHERRY ORCHARD.  One b&W version with Gielgud and Judi playing one of the young women and one with Judi playing "that idiot woman".  I've only watched the b&w one so for, which I enjoyed...but then I don't have the same problems you have with the play.  I quite like it.
Well, i have no idea who these DRs spending too much time on Facebook may be, but I can only urge other DRs to bring some friends into the group; I've been successful with DR Ginny and JohnG, both fabulous assets, and I cetainly talk up the site. Perhaps some of the current actors in one of the productions of THE BRAIN might be interested in joining the Loony Bin?
I always forget if she's Ranevskya or Arkadina. The best part of the play for me is the final scene between the young lady and the landowner who's too repressed to propose.
