I'm up.  I was so tired last night that I forgot today is Easter.  So, a very happy haineshisway.com Easter to all.

I got a really good night's sleep, which I really needed.  It looks chilly out, so jog is iffy unless the sun breaks through.

When we were growing up, I don't believe we ever locked a door to the house.  If I lived in Ohio now, I'd have double locks on every door.

Why,
Oh, why,
Oh, why-oh?
Why did I ever leave Ohio?

I soon realized our cars had been broken into.  My cell phone, a work name badge and perhaps a garage door opener to the new house are all missing.

Makes one feel violated >:(

Having grown up in Camden, NJ, I can't conceive of never locking up at night, no matter where I live.  But I have forgotten to do so many a time...

I am between services right now on a very stressful morning.

I awoke this morning to discover Betsy had left the garage door open and the garage light on, evidently from when her parents left last night.  I soon realized our cars had been broken into.  My cell phone, a work name badge and perhaps a garage door opener to the new house are all missing.   My car was in total disarray, which was the most disheartening thing.

I hope that you're able to get things back in order and your nerves settled sooner rather than later.

*On a practical note, was there anything in your cars that indicated the address of your new house? -Since the garage door opener to the new house was stolen.

I'm sorry to hear this, and I know how invasive and terrible this is, but I do have a question. You moved into a new place and don't have an alarm system?

They're still living in the "old" house right now.

With live-in livestock, we have no need to lock-up.

In other news...

I tried to catch up on posts and post when I got in last night, but by the time I got in last night, all I really had the energy to do was to get in my bed, turn off the lights and go to bed.  -Just barely.  However, I had a very nice day yesterday.  Spring was most definitely in the air, and everyone seemed to be smiling, happy and generous.

We're not in the new place yet, Larry.

Nothing in the cars indicating the new address, plus Betsy went right over there and manually locked the garage doors.

That part is good. Although will you get a new garage door opener? (i'm guessing yes if they took the old one). Just on the chance that somehow they found the address.

No Easter eggs for me. :(

Although my niece got some nice ones.

I did have some Passover cheese pancakes though.

Happy Easter.

I will spend most of the day celebrating by doing some returns for people whose names sound like they might be Jewish.

Otherwise, a very small and informal holiday meal, but my mind will be on getting back to the taxes later tonight - much that must be done to gather the questions to call clients Monday morning.

Just 11 more days, and I know i'll miss it when the season is over, even though it feels like I'm on auto-pilot now.

Well, we have missed you, Fred, so hurry back.

Ben - Do they sign them in front of you, or are they pre-signed?

Hey, a pre-signed Sondheim is better than no Sondheim at all.  And the same for Angela.

IIRC they will sign them in front of you but it's one to a customer.

My Mom is feeling a bit under the weather today, so my family's Easter plans are out the window.  I might go out for a drive and check out the beautiful weather.  And I'd also like to sit and watch something like WONDERFUL TOWN (the televised Roz Russell version from the 50s.)

I am not old enough to remember that version.

Sure you would.  You would be afraid that the Macbeths would come visiting.
