Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Good morning, all! I slept well last night, and this morning I have another round of the McGlinnventory. Yesterday I accomplished very little beyond several hours with the McGlinnventory and some work at Toyland. My biggest accomplishment was  mailing my estimated tax payments. I am postponing till tomorrow my post office trip; I have packages to send to Germany, Indiana, and other environs.

After today's work on the estate, which like Old Man River just keeps rolling along, I've got some OZ edits - I still have one song in Act One to finish - and I have to burn a few CDs for a friend who's stopping by later in the afternoon.

TOD: I preferred the folk groups like The Chad Mitchell Trio, the Kingston Trio, The New Christy Minstrels to rock and roll, although I did love Buddy Holly and could never understand the popularity of Elvis.

My internal alarm clock actually went off early and I got up at three-thirty and stayed in bed until four-ten.  I've shaved and will shower in a few minutes, then pack up the last of the stuff.

MR BK - just heard from Evil Kurt - and a five-ish din din at the hotel will be okay tomorrow.

Have a great flight - and welcome to Indiana via Houston.

Glad that things are working out for DR CILLA LIZ!

Of course I am working today - so there you are.

MR BK is coming to Indiana - which is pretty remarkable in itself.

No, probably not. It just seems like a lot to me.  But my brother in law reminded me that most athletes buy million dollar rings. So this was not too much to spend.

Yeah!  I am happy for you. I know you've waited a lot longer than i have to read this. Hopefully your friend is a fast reader!

Btw, if you can't find a recap and need my book 2 recap i can email it to you.  I found a really good book spoiler site for another book that i had read that i needed a recap of. Unfortunately they don't have this book.

TOD: I always thought Grace Slick was the Ethel Merman of her generation, and now that I've seen "A Serious Man," I'm more convinced than ever.

But favorites? There are too many, including some pop stars and r&b stars from those years: Roy Orbison, Blood, Sweat & Tears, the Who, that whole Phil Spector Wall of Sound era (the Ronettes, the Chiffons, the Crystals, you name it), Aretha, Ray Charles, Elvis, Neil Diamond, the Guess Who...

I was a kid then, so all music was new and fresh and vital and formative.

Last night, DR FJL commented:

"Where is that Jonathan Groff photo from, Matt?

very different look than in his NY musical stage appearances"

It actually is from an NYC stage appearance, from a staged concert he did last fall in NYC in which he played a Greek god. Can't remember the name of the play, but Marilyn Stasio in VARIETY mentioned he was cute but not a god. I beg to differ.

BTW, on GLEE this week, he looked to have put on some muscle and have filled out some compared to this photo. He looked about ten pounds heavier. Yes, I know they say the TV camera adds ten pounds, but this appeared to be muscle.
