Thanks for the birthday wishes, everybody!

I saw puppies at work today.

Mom is making binguhotto for dinner.

OK, I'll ask, what strange dish is binguhotto? ;)

We don't know yet. We haven't invented it yet.

I recommend some tomato paste for your binguhotto - and a moon pie for texture.

Yesterday, DR Jeanne asked:
Quote
TCB, do you say that heat helps the MRSA?

Indeed it does.  My doctor says that a heating pad or one of those microwaveable pads should be used for as long and as often as possible.  He says that the heat pulls the (for want of a better word) poison out and speeds healing.

Since I caught this outbreak soon enough, it seems to have stopped the infection, or at least, slowed it down.

Last night, DR MBarnum posted:

For those who might know this guy:

Bill Mullikin
Broadway actor in ‘Hello Dolly'

Bill Mullikin, 83, an actor best known for his long-running role as Cornelius Hackle in "Hello Dolly," died April 3 in Aptos, Calif., said his daughter, Kate. He had Alzheimer's disease and was in hospice care.

He was born April 19, 1926, in Baltimore and graduated from Loyola University of Maryland with a bachelor's degree in history.

He made his Broadway debut in "New Faces of 1952" and appeared in more than 2,000 performances of "Hello Dolly" with such actresses as Ginger Rogers, Dorothy Lamour and Phyllis Diller in the title role, his daughter said. His film work included "Hell Is for Heroes" in 1962.

How sad, and I'll bet if he appeared in the tour with Dorothy Lamour that he's who played Cornelius when I saw it for the first time. Alas, the Playbill for that performance has been long gone from my collection. The only DOLLY Playbill I have is for the Pearl Bailey DOlly in NYC.

Me too, and he certainly was not in that version.

And crawdads for protein!

Gophersnake may be substituted for the crawdads.

As long as I don't sound like the cowboys on TAR.

If you looked like them no one would care about the accent!

And I certainly don't....maybe I need to buy a cowboy hat.

Little Shop is at my house!

Some sort of slight accent....I'll take that.  As long as I don't sound like the cowboys on TAR.

And you don't look like them neither!

Hi all!  Just popping in for moment or two.

I was on the phone with my nurse longer then I thought I would be.  Nothing to worry about, it just seems that Humanna--my health care provider--has started a new program to check on people with some medical conditions who are living alone.

I was doing the set up and it took a long time to go though my meds and what problems I'm having or not having.

I think I'm going to like it because I can call 24/7 with any problems and talk with a nurse right away.

Toby has lost his tags.  I know they must be somewhere in the back yard but I can't seem to find them.  I have a hard time getting the tags on/off because the arthritis in my hands so I put a little link on the collar.  I guess I didn't have it tightened enough.

I don't think he ate them.  At least, I pray he didn't.  There are so many leafs in the yard, I'm sure they are just hidden.

My mother and I had a very frustrating day today.  The chairs that her friend had picked out at their thrift shop were ugly and she didn't buy them.  We proceeded to the BMV to have her state ID renewed and because she has a new address they needed something with that on it (credit card statement, bank statement, etc.) and she didn't have anything like that in her purse and didn't want to go back home to get it.  We went to Bob Evans for lunch and, while we were waiting for our food, she had a nosebleed that gave her a headache.  That scrubbed the grocery shopping trip, but we went to the pharmacy drive-thru to pick up her prescriptions and I took her home.  She just wanted to take a nap, so I left her and went to visit my aunt.  When I got home from my evening meeting, I called to check on my Mom and she told me that the Rx bag contained only one of the 3 prescriptions she'd called in and not the one she really needs for her COPD.  So, we may get to try the whole thing (except the chairs) tomorrow...

And now, it's time for me to leave for rehearsal.  We're rehearsing at the club house of my condo complex, so I don't have to go away and then come back home...I'll already be home! :D

  Thank you, DR George.

Both dogs are passed out right now.  I must say I am so happy I got little Toby.  He really is doing a good job of keeping Sheena company. He is a good boy.
