Here are the graduates, following the 165th Commencement Exercises at Nashotah House:

I'm sure everyone will be glad to know that in addition to THE CLOSER, I'm also doing the promos for everyones' favorite, SAVING GRACE. After we finished next week's promos, they decided to change the order in which the episodes air, so at 6 last night we learned that we have to cut spots today that will be onlined and  mixed tomorrow and on the air on Monday. Guess that will cut down on the approval process!

I hate that program!

I know you do! And you're not the only one...
I knew what you meant when you said "everyone's favorite"  :)

THE CLOSER, just judging from the dailies, looks like it will be a really good season.

Wondering what folks think of Mary McDonnell's character, Capt. Raydor?

I liked her.   Is she going to be a regular?

bk - I know it's not Wednesday, but I was curious if your newest book would be available in Kindle form anytime soon.  I'm enjoying the book and would like to be able to read it on the Kindle (which can also be read on the iPhone anywhere).

Actually.... If you go back to February 23, 2010:

KIMMEL ON KINDLE

;)

Yes, I remember that.  And if you look bk up on Amazon, the Kritzer books are there now.

Well, she sure adds interest to the enemble; every show needs a Sue Sylvester!

I think she is much nicer than Sue Sylvester, which is why I liked her.  Maybe like was too strong a word.

Now for some nature photos from me.  I'm certainly no competition for DR Laura, but here they are:

This is the wetland area that was adjacent to our hotel in Chicagoland.  If you look right in the center, there's a blue heron:

As we were heading into the Nashotah House library, we discovered the family of badgers that lives under/around the bell tower:

I've heard of Caldera.  Did you try it?

Yes, and it ws quite nice - light with a slight lemony tang.

It is nice to know beer from Ashland is a hit, even if it doesn't sound as if Keith would like it.

And I believe bk mentioned that the Kindle version of his latest book would be hitting the cyber-shelves about six weeks after the hardcopy street date.

We're trying to find a way to format the later books for Kindle - the three Kritzer books should all be on there by now.

I shall also watch the LOST finale on Sunday.....in some article somewhere....perhaps even linked here at HHW, the creator/writer or somebody said that he had the final image in mind from the start of the series....and he was working all these years to get to it.....so we shall see.

Yes, and I can tell you what the final image is on LOST.

SPOILER WARNING!

In fact, I just downloaded Kindle for Mac (free) and purchased all three Kritzer books.  The first and third book's formatting is perfect.  Kritzerland, however, is really screwy.  No indents for the beginnings of paragraphs and the song lyric quotes are randomly italics (they should be) and non.

Thanks, DR Laura.  The only ones I'd ever seen were on the football field (On, Wisconsin!)

I am very happy to be home after a long day, but I had an absolutley wonderful time with Rob. We discussed many fascinating topics from YANK! going to Broadway to Jerome Kern and the making of new musicals using scores form composers' catalogs - like WHITE CHRISTMAS (Berlin), NEVER GONNA DANCE (Kern), and the reading he did last wnter of ONLY WHEN I LAUGH (Gerswin). We also talked about opera, Frank Loesser, the Victor Herbert recordings in the fall, and friends at the NYPL and Library of Congress.

Now I'm ready for a nap.

As I told BK, it's been nose-to-the-grindstone for me for the past couple months. I need a break! That break will include a break from HHW, as well, but probably only for a week or two. I just feel really spent. Have fun while I'm away!

This is a fun link.  DR Julie (Julie Miller) was interviewed just before the MAC AWARDS show that she produced last week.  (Was this posted already?)

I think that link should work.
