I'm thinking about seeng SATC2 tomorrow, if I can fit it into my schedule. I've got another song needing deciphered lyrics. The ms looks as though Victor spilled his coffee, or wine, or brandy, or whiskey, on it.

BK's close personal directee Adair is doing several Maltby & Shire tunes at the cabaret in a couple of weeks.  We have old original M&S handwritten scores that are completely illegible.  :)

Can't afford a copyist?

BK, the Jacuzzi sounds great. I may have to settle for a bath.

"Invention of Lying" had a great roster of performers but just didn't sail. Not enough truly funny moments. That only leaves "Previous Based on the Novel "Push" by Semi-Precious Gemstone" before it's due back at the library.

DR Elmore, what are some of the other lyrics? "Cascade" is the only other word I would imagine with c's, a's and s's. But it doesn't make that much sense.

I went to Blockbuster and bought 3 DVD's for $20 -

Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr
Amelia
Twilight New Moon

None of them got really great reviews.....but they should be entertaining one way or the other.  I didn't buy them in Blu Ray - because who knows if I would have to update my hardware....

I think you should have rented all three of these for less money.

In my shopping marathon last week, I bought One Night Only - Barbra Streisand and Quartet at the Village Vanguard.  Yesterday I listened to the CD in the car and this evening I'm watching the DVD.

Just heard from Pogue - he wasn't able to see the Quick Reply box or anywhere to post - I'm not having that problem, is anyone else?  I told him to refresh, but because the site was down, maybe he got logged out?  I see him up there, so he must be logged in - we'll know very soon.

Funny, I didn't notice until you asked.  I can quote and that is it.

I don't think I mentioned that last night at  a meeting HWHC was making fun of cats, little did he know that half of the people on the board are cat lovers...I got a kick out of them telling him to shut up.

Good for the "thems" ;)

I really don't have anything to add today, unless you want to know that the monarch scientist played with the kittens and that the contractor working on the house across the street finished today and told me to feel free to put stuff in the dumpster because it was all paid for.

All sounds like good news. :)

I think I'm going to mosey on over to Amoeba in a bit.  I've had a huge box o' trade stuff here for months - time to get rid of it, get some credit, and get some new stuff.

The song's about watching the sun go down and the evening mists gather and being visited by a memory of a lovely young lady, "Just a dream of a day gone by." The illegible word has something about the feeling that comes creeping over the singer as the memory comes back. It's something flowery, akin to the following:
   shudder
   trembling
   warmth
   whisper

Perhaps if the song were about someone we loathed.

Victor's writing is so bad there that, even though I think it looks like it's all c's, a's, and s's, that doesn't mean I'm correct.

I just watched a new NBC comedy 100 Questions, a real FRIENDS clone. I did laugh.

I have a half day tomorrow but our current head of the department has scheduled a two hour meeting from 10am to Noon. I leave at noon and was hoping to sneak out a little earlier. Oh, well. The best laid plans...

A friend wants to see SATC2. He did background work on both 1 and 2. It's getting trashed by the critics but, as TCB said, I don't think it will mean anything. I must say though, if my friend didn't want to see it I doubt I would go.
