Well, you've read the notes, the notes had the heartbreak and the psoriasis, and now it is time for you to post until they cows come home - they've currently got the heartbreak of psoriasis and no one cares.

BK,

A word of advice:

Whatever you do re: the screwy helper, DO NOT go to her house.

If she is as unstable as you think she is, she might have you arrested for stalking.

BK,

Your problem with the helper reminds me of something that happened to me 10-15 years ago.

I was stopped at a traffic light when this blond "actress-type" rear-ended me.

There was no place to pull over and exchange information, so we drove a block until we found a spot.  She was a real ditz.  As we were exchanging information, a cop car stopped, and she suddenly pointed to me and yelled out, "Arrest him! He tried to escape the scene."

Nobody got a ticket, but the police did take a report and, as it turned out, there was some problem with her driving record.  Don't recall all the details, but she kept telling her insurance company to deny my claim.  Finally, the State set me a subpoena to appear at a hearing that would determine the fate of HER driver's license.  SHE had pushed for the hearing...and SHE NEVER SHOWED UP.

Her insurance company paid my claim, and I have no idea what happened to her.

Maybe she became Lindsay Lohan?

Los Angeles is a crazy town, but then...so is Austin.

Good morning, all!

BK, I love you but you are making me feel like Cassandra in front of a huge wooden horse or I'm having a deja vu of last September's orchestra reading of LIFE BEGINS AT 8:40; I can only croak out the warnings and see if anyone listens. You posted today that she's apparently exhibited such behavior before? This is why you get references and check up on a potential employee.

This lady is not a flake: SHE'S CRAZY! She's either playing mindgames with you or one of her personalities is being nicer than the others. Do not go near her. Call the police and let them retrieve your invoices. Then, go down to small claims court and sue her for the maximum, which I believe is $5,000.  Use that to pay your new helper. I hope you've run a complete profile on him.

Speaking of crazies, there was a rather rude posting on the Cast List today about members posting more than once a day. Given this member has only posted twice in two months, once about this and once about another member doing something she considered stupid, I think she's around to cause trouble and I'm wondering if it's a former member of HHW who seems to spend a life stirring up the pot.

So, enough grousing. Today, I have a session at Toyland, a lot of photocopying, and other usual angst.

Wednesday morning greetings!  I was very tired last night, after my 4-day trip with my mother, so went to bed early.  Got up this morning to see DS Rob off for the first day of his second quarter of paramedic training and am now getting reacquainted with my desk.  A little later, I'll attend a webinar on DVT (deep vein thrombosis).

Btw, re: my being the one to mention that the President would be speaking last night.

Well most of the tv we watch her is on US networks. And it was in my tv's guide. So i thought maybe not everybody checks their updated guide. So i thought i'd mention it.

I know i had Hell's Kitchen scheduled to record from 8-10pm. And then my PVR just switched it to 8:15-10:15pm and knocked off my 10pm show. Although i noticed this earlier so i was able to fix it.

BK re: your old helper.

The scariest thing you mentioned to me is that she is somebody's nanny. I hope she doesn't flake out when she is taking care of small children.

BK, I agree, I wouldn't go to the old helper's house.  But I would consider calling her mom since she would probably be concerned.

No, José Ferrer was "stumped" in Moulin Rouge.

My question for ASK BK Day.....have you ever seen a stage production of Noel Coward's BLITHE SPIRIT?

I saw a production in London at the Savoy theatre starring Penelope Keith as Madame Arcati.  The production was disappointing.  Oddly enough, I have always enjoyed Ms. Keith whenever I see her on the telly, but I've now seen her twice onstage, both in Noel coward pieces, both disappointing (the second, was an adaptation of his story STAR QUALITY...which did not work at all and she was miscast in the lead).

Personally, I don't think the play works as well as some of Coward's others...Private Lives, Present Laughter, Hay Fever, Fallen Angels, The Vortex...
