WHEN IN ROME

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were vaguely Roman and roamin', and now it is time for you to post until the Roman and roamin' cows come home.

There may be theatrical roots to yesterday's discussion of  "thing with the periods" when A CHORUS LINE called itself

The Best Musical.  Ever

(not the period between Musical and Ever)

I have discovered online a video of LESTAT from San Francisco which I have downloaded and may burn to disk.  We shall see....along with an audio recording, the Elton John demo, and the press demo from S.F.  We shall see.

Shelly, the director of NEVER TOO LATE, is a very nice lady - BUT she is an organic blocker......."just go where ever you want and let's see what happens....."

I HATE THAT.....

TOD: Well, I'm best man in a wedding this weekend, so that pretty much lops off DVD time, thought "Walkabout" is waiting to be watched. MP3: "Promises, Promises," which just keeps getting better ever time I listen to it. Also, "Marguerite" on CD.

Someone slipped me some caffeine last night, so there was little sleep but a lot of feeling like I could crawl the walls. Not good.

Regarding a comment from late last night be DerBrucer: I love "the Illiterati." Will be using that phrase. Unfortunately, I know a few too many who fit the description.

BK,

I can't believe that you didn't like DIAL 1119.

I thought it was one of the best films in that set, a hostage drama that was totally unpredictable.

Right up until the end, you have no idea how the situation is going to turn out or, if it happens, who is going to save the day.

Nothing on the horizon (Lost or otherwise).

We did watch Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs last week and enjoyed it.

And we watched I'll Cry Tomorrow. After reading about Miss Roth on line it's not quite the entire life story but it was still a wonderful bio pic and Susan Hayward was great, although I did notice physical gestures in ICT that showed up a few years later in VOTD (Valley of the Dolls).

Chelsea Classics is showing With a Song in My Heart on August 5th. I've never seen the entire movie so I may have toddle over and see Brini Maxwell and Susan Hayward do the Jane Froman story

Good morning, all! Today feels like Saturday to me, but I am sure it's because my morning isn't crammed with things to be done so I slept late.  I do believe I will go to the NYPL today around 11, proofread some Herbert scores, and maybe even do some writing.

Last night's weird dream involved a blizzard and a snowball fight including many people I do not know, but a lot of folk from the New York State Theatre Institute were involved along with my beloved goddaughter Charlotte. She was making huge snowmen with funny hats.

My friend Jon's audition is in another hour from now, and I hope it goes well. Keep them vibes coming!

Friday morning greetings!

Ahhh, that's much better - I was not awakened at 6am by worries about the August 3 grantwriters meeting, so slept in a bit this morning.  We're getting ready for my cousin and his nephew to stay with us for a few days while they visit my aunt.  They'll arrive tomorrow evening and stay until Tuesday morning.

Hey everybody. Up kinda early, but a lot has been accomplished in a short time. I was awakened early by my body telling me to eject something that wasn't agreeing with me.  This is the second time in 2 weeks.  I'm hoping most of it is taken care of and we can go on with the day as planned.  In the meantime, it will be gatorade and bananas.  Today is another jammed packed day.  A funeral in the morning, camp in the afternoon, and then a show this eve.  Tomorrow, wedding in the morning and then 2 shows.  The weekend I'm sure will fly by and before we know it, it will be Sunday evening.

I've been using my hoopnotica for 3 days. I really had no idea it would feel so heavy. Or that it would hurt to do it. Or that I could bruise. I am reading their facebook page now. So thankfully I can read what others have gone through. Otherwise I would think I was crazy.  I was shocked that it hurt. And need to find some kind of padding for around my waist.

But people say it should stop hurting soon. I don't care so much about small bruises. But I want it to stop hurting.

DR Laura ~ That BD rain finally arrived yesterday, so only a few days late -- and not a whole lot, but at this point we'll take whatever we can get.
