I have extra BD copies of the Anthony Hopkins WOLFMAN and the Benjamin Bratt LA MISSION if anyone would like them for a nominal donation.  PM me.

A friend of mine was the exec producer on Wolfman so I guess I should see it since we may be collaborating in the future.

TOD: I would like to see a cure for whatever is causing our global economy to suck so badly. I think many problems would be solved with meaningful work and proper health care benefits for the many, many millions in need. And that might, in turn, lead to cures for the other ills that plague us.

Why do cats save their medical problems until Friday, an hour after the vet closes? How do they KNOW?

I am back from a lovely Indian dinner with my friend Darrel Karl. Much was discussed and dished, and now I'm ready for bed.

DR John G, Merman sang "I Get A Kick Out Of you" at the end of Scene One. The song's about her unrequited love for Billy after he tells her he's going to stop Hope from marrying the titled Englishman.

I wish I had neighbors like JMK. I always welcome neighbors but I seem to be in the minority...

Wednesday evening we watched something Richard was in in high school - SOUTH PACIFIC - and tonight we're watching something I was in in high school - ARSENIC AND OLD LACE.  Both on PBS.

The last note was, of course, because I'll be leaving work in 10 days' time, even though there was enough work to lead to our having 10 hours of overtime today. Go figure.

"Hard Hearted Hannah" and an obscure one: "Her Heart Was in Her Work," cut from "Can-Can."

And that's it from me.

Until I think of something else.

Rat tumor...ever heard of it? It makes her bottom lip swell up and look like she's had collagen injections...

Maybe I'll try to photograph it. It doesn't interfere with her eating, thank goodness, but it can't feel good. She will have to get a cortisone injection on Monday. Poor Gris-Gris; she has most of the health problems...allergy injections, etc.

LOL!  Around our house, we often quote that contact lens commercial:

No, I haven't heard of it, poor girl.....

Callie has always had her problems develop at bad times...Christmas Day when I was out of town was the worst.  I packed up and drove back asap and had to find an emergency vet in the morning. It was scary

Nice story, MR BK.

DR CILLA LIZ hang on to those boxers, maybe HWHC can use them.

I am all agog about the new release to be announced in a few hours!

SAINT JOAN arrived at my house today....and I listened to it immediately.  I haven't seen the movie in awhile, but I certainly agree with MR BK's liner notes.  It is a lovely score - and the CD sounds great....now I want to find my old VHS and watch the movie again.

Jean Seberg and all of those MEN - many of whom - Richard Todd I am talking to you - never looked better!

I love Jean Seberg in EVERYTHING.....especially BONJOUR TRISTESSE.....but she is SO beautiful.......

I think ARSENIC AND OLD LACE plays much better on stage than on film.
