Edis is exterminating

And digging up and relocating wandering hydrangeas!

Little Ricky is so cute, Cillaliz. I hope the girls get used to him quickly. Remember how long it took Callie to accept Boo? And that she eventually did accept her and they are buddies now?

Yes I know.  I've never really been able to tell if Callie or Boo is the alpha.  I've always thought it was Callie and now I'm sure.  She was the one who did the initial investigating upstairs.  She's seen Ricky, they've hissed and growled.  It's a good enough start for tonight

That is the main reason I haven't gotten Nicky a sister.  This apartment is too small to keep the two cats separated.

I am kind of watching the baseball playoffs on TV.  Unfortunately the Yankees are already kicking butt, so I may just go to bed and read.

A hydrangea is a plant isn't it, Edi?

A shrub, to be exact! These are lacecaps, very pretty, but these were submerged during the flood and once a branch lays down, it roots quickly. I was so busy with the baseball film that I never got around to getting them back in place and now they're immense.

TOD:

As much as I love it, I try to avoid pizza as much as possible.

It's too tempting.

However, when I was at Ray Courts' show in Chicago last month, my wife and I did share a medium pizza...and it was delicious.

DR Druxy - Did you and your wife splits a medium Chicago deep-dish pizza while you were in Chicago? Or a standard thin-crust one?
I'm making dinner plans with my cousins for when I'm in Chicago.  Bryan said to let them knew that he and his wife don't like Chicago style food, including pizza. ;D  To my surprise that also includes German food, pubs and fried meats, not that Bryan eats any meat to begin with.  His wife is not a vegetarian though.

Little Ricky is so cute!!

When we introduce a new kitty, we keep them in a separate room but trade toys, etc. so they get used to the scent. It took a few days but everyone got over it quickly. There's one cat we ended up with and she doesn't like any of the other cats, but that's just the way she is.

How does that work out for them?  One eats meat and the other doesn't?  That sounds like a lot of cooking.

Here's a flower arrangement that I received in August.  Isn't the big white flower a hydrangea?

We have a lot of hydrangeas, it's a very southern, old-fashioned shrub. They are sort of like the canary in the coal mine. They are the first to let you know when your garden is getting too dry. They enjoyed the flood and were at their most beautiful this year!

Trading toys is a good idea.
