I certainly won't get all of these watched today, but I want to watch the three episodes of "Fringe" before "Mad Men" starts.  Even with a shower, I should be able to get through them because of all the commercials that I can skip through.

I got through all of FAUST, which ended up batting 500; for everything good, the idiot director and more idiotic choreographer screwed the piece up with their Eurotrash improvements. I'm getting to the point where I believe no one's capable of staging an opera well. Sometimes their ideas were good, like trying to link the ballet in the Walpurgisnacht scene with Marguerite's pregnancy and infanticide, but the ballet music had ugly cuts, the dancing often seemed to consist of ballerinas behaving badly, with screams and some S&M, led by this CABARET-ish male who seemed to have stumbled out of an Alan Cumming MC contest, and Bryn Terfel in drag with a tiara and bustle. WTF?

Wow...I'm tired from being at the Pride Parade/Festival. But I did snap a butterfly photo for DR Laura:

Dang. I didn't see him! I wonder why??

DR Jennifer - Pumpkin Pie! YES!! -Were they giving out samples at CostCo so that you could try it, taste it?  -Have you ever had Pumpkin Bread? or, since they seem to be everywhere now, a Pumpkin Whoopie Pie?

I had a pumpkin whoopie pie from Souper Jenny's on Friday. I wasn't impressed. I made red velvet ones for my niece's baby shower; they were OK, but I guess I'd rather have a cupcake!

I have never heard of Pumpkin Whoopie Pie.  Is that something that a lot of East Coast people eat?

I just made some rhubarb sauce and am doing laundry

Rhubarb sauce sounds wonderful.

This is a one-rhubarb household, so I haven't had it in years, but I love it!

I had ants in my pants yesterday while I was working on the hydrangeas. Never saw the ants but they sure were biting. Ouch! I have numerous bites on my legs.

And these soldier bugs are about to drive me up the wall. I'm starting to not care that they are "beneficials".

If my mother was still alive, I would be happy to send you some rhubarb sauce and probably a pie or two.  My mother loved to make them, but she and my brother-in-law were the only ones that would eat them.  Of course, if it would bring her back to life, I would willingly eat an entire rhubarb pie and a gallon of sauce.

I have made very good progress today in unpacking boxes. Went through boxes of old magazines....Classic Images, Films of the Golden Age, Scarlet Street, Film Fax, Playgirl, Video Watchdog, Autograph Times, Movie Collectors World, and others.

Whew...I am keeping about half of them and the other half are being donated to The Humane Society Thrift Store.

I have yet  to locate my box(s) of old Famous Monsters of Filmland magazines. It is really odd that I haven't come across them yet. There should also be a box of old movie stills, which I have not yet found. They have got to be here someplace.
