Laundry in the dryers!

DR Jose, thanks for the Silk Road news! I am so sorry they've folded. They had the best takeout in the area and I'm now suffering through all the others. Malheureusement!

I started a rewrite on my new play, but as I was driving home late last night it came to me how the story should go. Out when basically the whole plot, several characters and in went some new characters, a revised storyline, and a new framing story. I was so anxious to get my ideas on paper that when I got home I started to write and then fell asleep doing so, but it is imbedded n my mind so I will not forget.

You're welcome, DR elmore. (I guess.) I'm sure you'll find another favorite Chinese takeout soon enough.  -I mean, there's always The Cottage. -And they offer free (box) wine too with dinner. ;)

OK... And now that I'm caffeinated it's time to get the rest of my day in gear. First up is a Noon(!) matinee of the chamber opera version of "Puss in Boots", followed by a wine & cheese tasting at Del Posto, then yet another Food Truck Festival, then some more random NYC Food & Wine Festival activities.  -And, best of all, it's all FREE because of Twitter! ;)

Yes most interesting notes.

10/10/10

Ten is the number of earthly completeness.....with three being the number of heavenly or spiritual completeness, so a day with THREE TENS is a nice combination of both - a great day to deal with beginnings AND endings....

Start new projects - discard old ones - and just enjoy the day.

And a good day to welcome into my family the third cat.

Thanks all for welcoming Ricky.  So far so good.  He's  settled in to his room nicely, loves playing and cuddling.  Callie has been almost face to face with him through a partially open door.  She hissed, he didn't, just cried and backed down.  She walked away.  Boo is really out of sorts, but she's seen him and also walked away.  She is also playing with toys she hasn't looked at in years and is doing a little hiding under the bed, but only until I hold out a toy for her to attack.

I would work toward totally letting them get together for a time today, but I really want to be sure he has a vet check before they are together with a chance of fighting or sharing food, water and litter boxes.

Last night Callie and Ricky were playing paws under the door.  I am totally amazed and how well this is going.  I'm keeping the interaction pretty short with lots of time in between for everyone to calm down, but so far so good.  He really acts like a kitten around the girls.  He backs down immediately.  I'm thinking I did a very good thing

Since it is 10/10/10, I'm leaving on the 10:10 for Ten, Ten, Tennessee.

Now the song will go through my head all day.

Since it's Thanksgiving here tomorrow there was an article (first one on yahoo.ca) about a new way to cook a perfect turkey. IT was something I've never heard of before.  Roasting it in a paper bag.

My mother cooked several turkeys that way, back in the 1960s.

After several days of inhaling Latin American cuisine and listening to chefs from Rick Bayless to a team from Brazil, I have surfaced again. Way too much food and too much information. But what fun.

I realize I have several days of playing catchup now.

Pumpkin pie can be quite wonderful, but I prefer savory pumpkin dishes to sweet. Pumpkin soup with plenty of chile and heavy cream is a great way to brave a cold evening.

DR Jennifer - Pumpkin Pie! YES!! -Were they giving out samples at CostCo so that you could try it, taste it?  -Have you ever had Pumpkin Bread? or, since they seem to be everywhere now, a Pumpkin Whoopie Pie?

I have never heard of Pumpkin Whoopie Pie.  Is that something that a lot of East Coast people eat?

That reminds me, DR Jose, there is an ad on TV for, I think, Blackberry that shows this woman who has a truck she takes around Manhattan.  She sellls "Treats" out of it.  I was wondering if this was a real truck, or just one created for the ad.

We're making a few little changes to the Kritzerland site.  More CD covers on the home page, and all the sold out titles are going away in the list on that page.  You'll still be able to find a complete list of everything by clicking on a link provided right below the cover images.  That will clean up that page considerably.  And we're finally inaugurating the "News" section tomorrow, and there will be a new "News" column every one to two weeks.

Thus far, the only books you could buy via Kritzerland were the last two - but all of them will be available by tomorrow - signed copies.

We'll be working on the "Gallery" section, too, and by the end of the week, all sections should have content.

I've got about 20 books pulled; I hate to give them away, but I think their time with me is over and someone else might find large art books on theatre designers Christian Berard, Oliver Messel, and Cecil Beaton interesting.
