Well, you've read the notes, the notes were award-winning (I gave them Best Notes for Tuesday, October 26, 2010), and now it is time for you to post until the award-winning cows come home.

I've only seen "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" with a participating audience once and I certainly enjoyed it, but I don't get the obsession with it.  I've seen several local productions of the stage show that were very well done.  I love live theater and have found the stage shows much more enjoyable than the movie...which I like, but just don't love.

Congrats on the "Brain" gain, bk. I hope, too, that it leads to more productions.

TOD: "The Ref," "Evil Dead 2," "The Big Lebowski," "Freaks," "Female Trouble," "Toxic Avenger," "Clerks" and the original "Hairspray."

I always enjoyed "Rocky Horror" when there was the audience participation. I don't think it works otherwise. It's not a movie to sit down and watch. But when "Time Warp" strikes up, I'm on my feet and taking "a jump to the left" with the rest of the crowd.

Am off far too early in the morning to do some extra work on a movie starring Jack Black, Matthew McConaughey and Shirley MacLaine. It's a funeral scene, so I doubt MacLaine will be there, since it's her character who dies. But it's a day's work, so I'm there.

Finished my application for grad school yesterday. Now I just have to wait to hear if I got in. Don't know which is worse, the wait or the two dreadful essays I had to write. One was on the subject of education as an act of freedom. It was supposed to be 750-1,000 words long. Mine was 758. Finishing it was like that book report scene in "Charlie Brown," where Lucy fills out her word count by writing it was "a very, very, very, very, very, very ..." stupid story. (I think it was Lucy. It's a little early still.)

Good morning, all! I slept horribly, knowing that I had to be up by 6am for the trek to the NYU Dental Clinic. I was out of bed at 5:40; my late father, who rose every day at 5:30 would be so proud of me.

So, after the clinic, I've got a stop at the McGlinnventory, then I have a meeting at the Frank Loesser office in midtown about a critical edition of THE MOST HAPPY FELLA. I have no idea what this means, or who the editor is, so it will all be interesting information to me. I suppose I'm to represent the muscal side for the Loesser office, but then, I may only be there to offer what I know to the editor. I'm fine with whatever.

I got an email from Ann Hampton Callaway about some possible work, so I may be talking to her when I get home. I've got a couple of items to throw into Carton 8 of this shipment I'm preparing for Miami University Library before I ship on Friday, and that's my day. I'm waiting for payments for three different invoices, and I'll be happy when the money arrives in the mail, so I hope at least one of them shows up today.

I sent E&T DR Jed an ecard for his birthday and I wish he'd get his butt back to HHW!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday, DR Jed! Did you read what I wrote about you? Come back, all is forgiven !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As to THE BRAIN, doesn't class always rise? Well, I guess there's Sarah Palin to prove me wrong.

As for cult films I really don't know from them

There are obscure films to others that I have seen and enjoyed. My film is Arnold.

Here is a clip that sets up the plot perfectly. It also mixes in a little of "And Then There Was None"

Ugh!  I have never liked THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.  Not only do I find it unfunny but I also associate it with one of the worst dates of my life...
