DR Laura, did they do a culture or test of some type to tell that's what it is?

I am watching Christmas in Rockefeller Center and, as much as I love NYC, I'm just as happy enjoying it from right here in my family room.  Half a million people - yikes!

Just curious how they know which respiratory problem it is.

I gave him some canned food -- thought it would be easier to eat. He liked that.

And of course.......

Rita Marlowe: But if you do all that, what will I do?

Lover Doll: Well, I will be the president and treasurer of Rita Marlowe productions, but you will be the titular head of the company.

DR Julie and I were at the Fred Ebb Foundation party at the Roundabout last night honoring Douglas Cohen getting the Fred Ebb Award, and most of all celebrating Fred Ebb's legacy.  I'd sensed some surprising vibe when people were talking about The Scottsboro Boys, but now looking back it seems clear that those involved with the show must already have known about the closing announcement coming today. Clearly, some people knew and were smart or considerate enough to have held back making it public until after the Monday night tributes to Mr. Ebb could go on and not be mixed with the sadness of this Scottsboro Boys closing.

And I have to add, Harry Lambert's line to Edith in NEVER TOO LATE - after she has revealed her pregnancy....they are having a little talk.

Edith:  Isn't it wonderful, Harry.  How does that poem go?

Harry:  .....I shot an arrow into the air.

EXTENDED LAUGHTER EVERY PERFORMANCE.

:(  Is that why you returned to the vet or was it for a regular re-check appointment.

He had ten days of meds and wasn't getting better, so I called and they said to bring him in. We have some different meds to try now.

Jose it sounds like you had a rough night.  I hope the Pepsid helped.  Both Tums & pepsid tend to make me sick.

Well... I thought I had some Pepcid in my bag, but... However, I did have some Tums - which didn't help - as well as some Rolaids - which didn't help either.  If I wasn't so tired, I would have gotten dressed and driven to the 24-hour Walgreen's, but... :-\
Put a little baking soda in some water. It works the best for me

Cilla, I am very sorry that I didn't offend you yesterday.  I will certainly try harder.

I imagine a few Sarah Palin jokes would do it!    ;D

Nah, you can make fun of her if you want to.

Here's a good oldie!

Now THAT is funny!

We've been listening in the car to Dayton's Lite 99.9, a station that plays solid Christmas music at this time of year.  It gives us the chance to hear artists we don't usually hear and my latest peeve was just committed on TV by Annie Lennox.  In "God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen" lots of singers say "...tidings of comFERT and joy..."  It's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

This was actually a bit harsh.  It does sound interesting.  I forgot I can download a sample so I'll read a chapter or two and see what I think

My peeve is the one about Don and his Gay apparel.

DR Cillaliz - THE LACUNA starts a bit slow, but it's picking up as I approach the 50-page mark.
