I would include AVATAR as an animated film, if not necessarily a kids' one.

So Danise, at the risk of raising a sore subject... what has been happening with your house?

I assume fromthe central heating remark that it is finally finished and you are living there

It's not as sore as it once was.  Yes, I am home.   It's not everything I wanted but I am thrilled to be here.

I just got the Final Order from the FL Dept of Business and Pro Regulation--on Friday.  I guess it was my Christmas gift.  Not that it makes any matter to me.  They directed him to give me a full refund of my money but I'll never see a dime of it.   I think that was the hardest lesson I learned after the whole mess.  I was so sure that when you won in court that other person HAD to pay you but now I know it doesn't mean a thing.  I'm sorry DR Cilla but I will have any faith in our court system again.   You can win and lose at the very same time.

Turner now has 2 other cases listed against him on their web site so he has been a busy boy scamming folks.    I can well imagine that if 3 people filed against him, there may be countless others who didn't know how to take that steps that I did.  Who knows how many other people are out there that he took.

At least I feel like I did something.  He now has a F BBB rating, can't pull a permit in my county, has some BIG fines to pay if he wants to keep his license and a few news stories that maybe some people saw and will take heed not to do business with him.

Now that's it all said and done I just want to put it behind me but my last thought on the subject is how it never had to happen.  If he had just done the work that he was paid to do none of what I or anyone of his other victims had go though would have happened.  I just don't understand it.  If he was in business for the past 25 plus years he must have done good work at some point in time.   He did have a B on the BBB site when I looked him up at the beginning.  Well, live and learn.

I never will understand why...

why can't you file leins against his home and business?

There is no Broadway cast recording for Scottsboro, only the Off-Broadway Vineyard version. It then went to the Guthrie in Minneapolis over the summer for a production and some tinkering and then back to Broadway.

Listening to Scottsboro Boys. BEST. CHRISTMAS. CD. EVER. Thanks again, Mom. I wish you'd had gotten to see it before it ended.
Am enjoying that one, too.
I only wish they had made a broadway cast one too, because I met one of the actors for that cast. Some of the lyrics are different too.

Oh.  I thouht that was the Broadway cast

darn

There isn't a Broadway cast in existence. This is the only one.

Gosh, I didn't get to the movies very much this year which means I am going to be at a great disadvantage when Oscar times rolls around (I like it best if I have seen a majority of the films up for awards).

Looks like the only 2010 films that I even watched this year all came from India, and here are my top picks.

I have been watching A Streetcar Named Desire this morning, after Netflix informed me it would no longer be available on Instant Play starting in a few days.  I had forgotten how incredibly good Marlon Brando was in this.  I mean, I remembered that he was good, but I had forgotten the depth of his intensley wonderful portrayal of Stanley.

I never will understand why...

why can't you file leins against his home and business?

Been there.  Leined that (those?) as well as him and his wife.  Results?  Zero.  I was told that somewhere down the road (could be years from now if I keep up with the leins) I might open my mail box and have a check but I doubt it.  He's in so much debt right now I don't think my turn will ever come around.

I keep a watch on his legal doings and he just had some property (I think the business) foreclosed on.  December 17th, 2010.  He hasn't paid the taxes on the property for the last 3 years.  I don't know if that means they would have to give me a share when the property is sold but I think not since it was the bank who did the forclosure.

I also notice he did paid the property tax on his compound/house to the tune of over $2,500 so he is getting money from someplace.
