TOD
I cannot remember a time when I did not know the score to West Side Story, my dad used to play it constantly . I probably saw the movie when I was bout 10 or so when it showed on TV.
I cannot remember when first saw Forum but I was quite familiar with that from young age as well.
In college I saw college productions of Company (which I immediately fell in love with) and Merrily We Roll Along (which failed to entrance me - but perhaps that was just the production)
The first and in fact only live Broadway production of Sondheim's I ever saw was Into The Woods - (December 87 or 88?) We have the DVD and family tradition is to watch it while trimming the Christmas tree.
Members of this family will, whenever someone is whining too much, burst into "AAAAAGOOOOONEEE much more painful than YOOOOOURS!!!!"
I have alas, only seen filmed versions of Sunday in the Park, and Sweeney Todd, and a local community theatre production of A Little Night Music
Favorite song... oh where to start...
One Hand One Heart was sung at my wedding and the Vixter sang it at my brothers' wedding last year so that certainly holds a dear spot in my heart - but I love so many of his songs it is impossible to choose
