:P  I hope they had something else for you to eat.

They actually had a glut of veggie stuff.  Lots of quinoa dishes, including an incredible lemon quinoa thing I loved, plus a spinach frittata and Betsy brought her patented tabouli.

Wow I didn't expect a veggie feast with the chili-lol.  I'm not sure if I like quinoa.  It is possible I haven't had any that was good yet, not that I've had much of it.

I went to take a shower & wash my hair and it was too cold in there.  I've turned the heat up, which I should have thought to do sooner.

The thing is that it is blowing cold air even when you have the heat setting on.

Do you have the fan set to "on" or "auto"
Auto.  Isn't that best?

I remember when I first got an Am EX  card that I could buy a house if I wanted to.  But when the bill came in I would have pay it in full!

Yes.  I asked because I can set mine to "On" and the fan will run even if the heat element isn't heated so cold air sometimes comes out when I do that

There's a sidebar in this morning's paper about the girl star of the new TRUE GRIT dissolving into tears on the Paramount lot when GLEE's Lea Michele refused to sign an autograph for her.

Well, that was pretty rude of Lea Michele.

Michele was en route to somewhere on the lot.  The unknown actress was in audition clothes and approached her.  Michele passed her by, and a guy behind Michele said to the teen, "Now's not a good time."

I imagine Michele might have been stressing or hurrying or steaming over something...and the guy was there to smooth things out.

Rude?  She didn't flip the girl off or curse her.   Understandable? Yep. Just because an actor isn't on a sound stage doesn't mean it's cool to approach him or her on a lot.  Something Michele might wish hadn't happened?  Sure.

Well now that you put it in context it's a lot different.

The card from Am Ex is Optima, I think.

I went to see if All That Chat was back up and running and it was - an hour ago.  There was a post there from FJL admitting he'd made something like ninety-seven posts in the last week.  Certainly has not made ninety-seven posts here in the last three months, I'd guess, maybe more.  I'm thinking of a word that starts with P and ends with S.  No, not that word - Priorities.

In any case, there was no post there, not one, even mentioning the fact that the board had been down for heaven knows how many hours.  I should think the owners would want people to have some information.  The board is now down again.

I just learned an interesting bit of trivial, Gretchen Corbett made her acting debut playing "Desdemona" in "Othello" at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland.

I always liked her. Haven't seen her in ages, though.

Vibes to all who need them.  We have over 15 inches of snow now....the wind is supposed to pick up tonight.  That's the part I don't like.   I am very happy that I made it to the office.  I didn't do what I had planned but did meet with 3 clients who braved the weather to meet with me and made it to a hearing.  It's nice to not have to reschedule it all

Kitty threw up her dinner, UNDER the bed with the extra thick mattress.  Craig reached as much as he could then took the mattress off the bed & held the box spring up while I finished cleaning the area.  It looks good but now his room smells like enzyme cleaner & there isn't much air circulating under the bed.

I was able to help him get the top mattress back on.  I lifted, with the help of my knee & pushed while he lifted & pulled.

The GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY was filmed in the charming little town of Jacksonville which is 45 minutes from us & where I often hike.  The robbery took place not far above where we live.

TOD

I cannot remember a time when I did not know the score to West Side Story, my dad used to play it constantly . I probably saw the movie when I was bout 10 or so when it showed on TV.

I cannot remember when first saw Forum but I was quite familiar with that from young age as well.

In college I saw college productions of Company (which I immediately fell in love with) and Merrily We Roll Along (which failed to entrance me - but perhaps that was just the production)

The first and in fact only live Broadway production of Sondheim's I ever saw was Into The Woods - (December 87 or 88?)   We have the DVD and family tradition is to watch it while  trimming the Christmas tree.

Members of this family will, whenever someone is whining too much,  burst into  "AAAAAGOOOOONEEE much more painful than YOOOOOURS!!!!"

I have alas, only seen filmed versions of Sunday in the Park, and  Sweeney Todd, and a local community theatre production of  A Little Night Music

Favorite song... oh where to start...

One Hand One Heart was sung at my wedding and the Vixter sang it at my brothers' wedding last year so that certainly holds  a dear spot in my heart - but I love so many of his songs it is impossible to choose

I'm now watching a motion picture on Blu and Ray.  Since it's almost four hours long I'll only watch the first half or so this evening.
