Watched Social Network tonight.  It's a good movie.  Don't think it was my favorite this year, though

My sentiments exactly.

It arrived today from NetFlix & none of us are rushing to watch it.  I feel bad taking our time if others are waiting for it.

I've had my dinner and my meds, and I believe it's time to settle down and watch some tv.

My neighbor next to me has new tenants above him. They're driving him crazy. He thinks the apartment is not being used as a residence but as an internet company.

:(

Is it still quiet above you?

Very.

DR John G only five members makes it easier to get the book from the library.  Of course it also makesfor a small gathering if anyone is away on the set date.

For my group, now I not only have to determine paperback and library availability, but also Kindle.

Kindle, that's crazy.  A few people in my group who have read the discussion books on e-readers prefer not to do so in the future.  They said it is easier to mark pages & flip back & forth for noting points of discussion.

But you'd be surprised. I wanted to pick a book like "Orphans Preferred" about the history of the Pony Express. I owned a copy, but the library only had two and the book was out of print.

Somebody else wanted a book that the library had no copies of.

But, boy, do they ever have copies of books like "Cold Mountain" and "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" and other titles that we wouldn't go near.

It's not a deal-breaker, yet, but I do check.

Great shot of Sherlock!

Miss Molly is doing well.  She's extremely restless, though.  Her appetite is great.  When I climbed into the whirlpool a little while ago, she fell asleep in that bathroom for about a half an hour. First real rest she had since coming home.  Although, when we first got home, after she had her lunch and a couple of walks, she laid against my chest and caught some shut-eye while being petted.

Her sutures don't look like they're going to be problematic; she hasn't once tried to lick them, either.

Glad to hear Miss Molly is doing well. I am surprised she was not spayed before you brought her home from the shelter. Maybe Eastern People are more trustworthy about getting their animals neutered than Western People.

Also, what are your favorite Irving Berlin classics?  Very important.

BK, I had this idea years ago to do "I Wonder Why/You're Just In Love" (from Call Me Madam), and then do "Old Fashioned Wedding" (from Annie Get Your Gun) and THEN sing the two (four?) songs at the same time as a double duet, like "You're Gonna Love Tomorrow/Love Will See Us Through" from Follies.  They have the same chord progressions and fit together almost perfectly.  I think the endings would need to be adjusted, but for people (like me) who love that counterpoint stuff, it'd be a heck of a lot of fun!  And no one has probably EVER done this, so it'd be a real surprise!

That's my suggestion. :)

Sorry, I did it over two years ago at the suggestion of BK's close personal acquaintance Tina Paradiso, who had been doing it for years in cabarets.

Fine...whatever.

I still think that BK should do it.

Ginny, speaking of Molly...... I'm reading The Last Illusion and I think it is time Rhys Bowen came up with an imaginative way for Molly & Daniel to get married, be happy and still have adventures with Gus & Sid.

And now I'm off to the theater, but at a different theater than last night.  Tonight, I'll be seeing (with a paid ticket...no ushering!) The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Capital Playhouse.  I have a season ticket right in the front row!  We'll see if I'm pulled on stage!

Until later!

Nope, we did it as a double duet for a summer theater I both directed and MD'd.  Tina had been doing it for years as a quartet.  Wasn't trying to be rude, just stating a fact.

George is right, however, the last 2 measures don't "add up" and need some minor finessing.

Should I bother finishing the book?

Watching a sappy Will Smith movie called "Seven Pounds." Not liking it much as it nears its ending.
