DR Ginny--You should be receiving a letter if your birth certificate is not adequate. It will be rejected if it is not a certified copy (meaning it has the signature of the Registrar, an original seal and a file date within one year of birth). Also, hospital certificates are not acceptable. You may want to check online to see how to order a new certificate from Oregon.

It's a town of 1600 people and the high school is consolidated with a couple other small towns. They wouldn't keep it, everyone in town would know it and would get it back. Another interesting thing, yesterday the kids from Parkersburg-Aplington, who survived massive tornado a couple years ago came over in busses to help clean up the Mapleton high school.

Saturday, I'm going to put my work clothes on, put my gloves and boots in the car and head over there. I'm curious to see it, but am more than willing to be put to work. They have said they don't want lookie-loos, but I think they are still accepting help from people who are there to work......as they say
