Oh... I guess Brent Barrett is back in Chicago.... ;)

Oh, let me check!    You're right!   I had gotten a ticket to see Christie Brinkley in the show, but it'll be nice to see Brent as Billy Flynn again!   :)

In other news...

After I took a walk around the block(s) yesterday afternoon, I came back here, watched some TV... And then somewhere along the line fell asleep on the couch in the living room. Again. -At least it's a comfortable couch.

I also went to see a new show called "Lucky Guy,"  a spoof on country music, with Varla Jean Merman and Leslie Jordan.  It was very funny, (sample from one of the songs "Jeannie Jeannine" sings:   "there's always a hitch in a trailer park romance.")  And an actor I wasn't familiar with, Kyle Dean Massey, was really great as Billy Ray.   I think the show is a little long, but overall I had a good time.

I'm going to see the last performance of "The Divine Sister" at 3 pm.  It's a spoof of some of the "nun" movies like The Singing Nun.   Maybe some of you New Yorkers would like to join me!

DR KevinH, I would love to, except for the fact that I am going to be working until my appalachian Christmas meeting on Tuesday. Enjoy!

Thanks for the "Lucky Guy" tip. I'd like to see it.

Kyle was in Altar Boyz for a while, and he took over for Aaron Tveit in Next to Normal. Good guy.

And I believe he's playing opposite Savannah Wise in Lucky Guy. And Savannah happens to be Scott Wise's daughter.

bk - How long will you be in NYC for The Singer's appearance at The Metropolitan Room? Alas, I can't make it on the 10th, but I may be able to meet up with you on the 9th depending what time I get back from DC. -I'll also be heading down for Follies next weekend, as well as for Mother's Day.

And now...

I really should start getting ready to head back onto the streets of New York City myself. Alas, I'll be heading down to a practice studio, but still...

It is a gloriously sunny day here in the Pacific NW--finally!  For the second time since we've lived here, a friggin' crazy woodpecker has gone after the metal chimney that exits the wood surround, waking Betsy and me to the lovely sound of what appears to be us being mortared and shelled by incoming shrapnel.

You need to have the wood inspected for bugs.  That's what woodpeckers are drawn to, they don't just peck wood for fun  ;)  Perhaps there are bugs coming up the metal from your wood surround...or something.  Anyway, I'd have someone look at that before the woodpeckers do a lot of damage

From DR TCB:

I apologize.  Yes, I had seen an article earlier on the DNA testing.  Still it is strange that the crew of the Mackay-Bennett were so moved by the body of one little boy, but at the same time bagged and dumped a large number of unidentifiable passengers back into the sea.

Not knowing of the number of passengers returned to the sea I wondered that there must be other unidentified people.  I guess the infant captured hearts & represented all those lost.

I am sure DR JMK will be pleased to hear this!  But no worries, he has that Home Improvement Insurance!

No problem DR JANE.  I talk about so many interests and projects here on HHW that I can barely keep up with myself.

The only "film" I have ever been disappointed in is the Playhouse 90 live television version of "Titanic", but given it's limitations, it is still quite interesting.

My gorgeous goddaughter Charlotte is now a graduate of University of Michigan. Ron flew up Friday from DC to catch one day's worth of the festivities.

Already!  Where did the time go ;)  Congratulations!!!!

I've been writing my fingers to the bone.

I have discovered that two different versions of "I Wish I Was Single Again,"one for men and one for women, can be put into counterpoint, and I've copied out and harmonized "People, Look East" and "How Far Is It To Bethlehem." I think it is time for some lunch!

As Chairperson of the 50th Anniversary Committee for Putnam County Playhouse - we have finally been accepted to have our own Plaque on the Preservation Wall in Greencastle - our home, and the county seat (and also home to DePauw University).

Here is the proof of our very own plaque that will be dedicated on Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m. on the lawn of the Masonic Lodge!   ;D

I am among the group on the bottom right at the 2007 groundbreaking for our Rehearsal Center.  ;D
