When you piggyback it helps if you're outside. I'm sitting on the patio right now and the Internet connection from wherever is strong and solid. Amazing! In the house it sucks but out here it's available.

When my dad was relying on the signal floating around the neighborhood it would make a huge difference what room I was in or whether I was inside or out.  It's really incredible the difference 5 feel could make

Topic of the Day:  none. :-X

Like to speak?  German.  My mom is German, but she never taught us to speak it.  I think she actively worked to lose her accent...there's just a tiny bit left.

Otherwise, I only took one quarter of Spanish at the two-year college that I went to.  I know a few words and can count to ten in German and Spanish.  That's it.

When I went to Western Washington University, I took a class on how to pronounce Italian, German and French so that when we sang, we would sound like we knew what we were doing, but it was only about the pronunciations, not the actual meanings of the words.

Yo tengo hombre hambre.

That's about the extent of my Spanish speaking abilities.

And now, I'm off.  I have to take a shower and get dressed to go to the movies to see "Larry Crowne" with my friend Margo and her friend Marsha.  After that, we're all going to The Olive Garden for dinner.

I went to Saturday in the Park for awhile.   I always get excited about going and get there in the afternoon and enjoy walking around, eating carnival food and listening to music.  Then I get hot and tired and never seem to stay until the end.  I decided I could go without seeing Cee Lo Green and came home.   He hasn't started yet, I may actually drive near by the festival and listen to him.  I have no interest in seeing Ben Harper, I don't even know who he is.

The sound was really too loud this year.  The bass was uncomfortably loud.  Glad I left

Bleu cheese is the culprit if you know for a fact your salad was 800 calories.  A typical salad with lemon dressing or some nonfat dressing is going to be closer to 100 or 200 calories at most.

Office 2010 is working, but, boy, is there going to be a learning curve.  Our last version of Office was for XP, just to give you some idea of how old it was.  I keep trying to hit the "Edit" button to copy stuff, and guess what?--the "Edit" button ain't there anymore.  ;)

I love avocados.

Maybe ask for you oil and vinegar dressing for your salad.

The weather here was so nice today. Went swimming with my nieces at 11:30am. Then went to their house to sit with them while they had lunch. I thought I was waiting for their aunt and cousins to come (so i could see them). But then my sister left for 2 hours to have her hair and make-up done by her friend.  So i ended up staying till 5pm.

Then i came home and went on a bike ride.

I don't like lemon dressing - I don't even know what that means - how yucky can you get?  And every low-fat dressing I've ever tasted has been horrid.

Well if you're going to bathe your salad in bleu cheese dressing, don't go complaining about 800 calories.  The salad isn't what got you to 800 calories.  ;)

I didn't do anything, and I've said it was, at the most, two tablespoons of dressing - the salad barely had dressing.

Hello, everyone.

Just returned from my new fave Indian restaurant. Tiny, miniscule even, but sooooo good.

I wish I had a local Indian restaurant I could say is sooooo good.

I got sick of so many emails from classmates.com that I went in there and changed my email address to something I don't even remember.

;D  I simply told classmates to stop sending them.  Now I only get a few.  I still want to know if a classmate attempts to contact me.

I just don't think I should have to pay to find out who is trying to contact me.

If someone is really trying to contact you they need to pay a membership fee & an email will be sent to you which you can respond to if you paid membership fees or not.

BK - salads are minefields, nutrition-wise.  Bacon, cheese, croutons, and dressing can really add up.

Well, I never even considered a salad with bacon (being a vegetarian and all).  I still maintain if your salads are lettuce and veggies and you use a nonfat dressing, there is absolutely no way you're going to get close to 800 calories.

No, Jane. I have never had an eggplant explode in the oven. I don't think I've ever put one in the oven.

Has anyone ever had an eggplant explode in the oven?

Did one explode in yours?  or was that a precautionary question?
