Thw Shubert was the theatre in Cincinnati where 1776 played, and I believe that is where DR Charles Pogue saw it. Perhaps we were at the same performance.

I am back from a lovely visit, dish, and dine session with Mr Bruce Pomahac. Reputations are shattered, careers ruined, andmorales boosted. I will take my meds nd watch THE DUCHESS OF DUKE STREET.

Sorry.  Didn't know Cincinnati had a Shubert.

I guess the <move> tag needs to be on the outside, eh?  Nice of this site to come with instructions.  ;)

Yes, it does. Since whatever you want to move should be inside the tags. Makes logical sense to me. ;)

Sorry.  Didn't know Cincinnati had a Shubert.

The Shubert was the main touring house in Cincy for many, many years.  Where I saw 1776 and many, many plays.

That movie kind of destroyed me. I don't think I've ever sat in a quieter movie theater while the closing credits were rolling.

We do a standard eight shows a week. Alas, since midweek matinees never really do well in DC, we will have 5-show weekends for all 12 (13, 14) weeks of the run.

Really interesting deleted scene from early in the film which features the same guy Bruno stares at at the very end.  Deleted incorrectly IMHO, would have been the perfect bookend.

Methinks it's time to actually go watch something I *don't* need to review, like RANGO.  And I'm not talkin' Tim Conway.

Needless to say, I am very heartened, pleased, and thrilled that we reached our goal.  Now, if anyone was waiting until the last minute, please, still feel free to become a backer - more than the goal can be donated, and between Kickstarter and amazon, they take 5% of the total.  But a big WHEW from the City of Studio.

Relief! The debit card problem is now over, and it works.

It will be nice when BK wakes up and fixes the posting problems: totday's posts, as DR Ben announced earlier, are showing up as yesterday's on the contents of the "Daily Discussions" page.

I've been listening to the new KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY with the vocal score and I am amazed at the number of cuts, 40 bars here, 2 bars there.

I got this a few days ago and listened to it.  I don't know what it was about it, but it just didn't grab me.  I'll have to listen to it at least a couple more times, but I thought that I'd like it more than I did.

Today, I just received Sweet Bye and Bye.  I'll listen to that on Monday at work.  It certainly sounds interesting...a musical written in 1945, set in 2076.  We'll see. :)
