Add me to the list of HHWers who will be in Chicago at the end of next week!  I'm also seeing Follies Friday night. (I'm a big Caroline O'Connell (or is it O'Connor?) fan).

Coolio!

Maybe we could all meet for coffee or dinner on Friday afternoon?

Sounds good, Jose!

I have skimmed through LOST HORIZON twice now and have yet to find this supposed Kellerman-Kennedy reprise of "Living Together, Growing Together."  There IS a reprise of the tune, right after the Fertility Dance (oy),but it's choral.  Interestingly, the underscore in two Kennedy-Kellerman scenes is indeed "Living Together," and one scene (right before Kennedy's irrigation system is revealed) has a rather abrupt edit, so perhaps there was a reprise there.

Yes, these are the sorts of things I spend my day trying to figure out.

Here is Sally Kellerman and George Kennedy's track of the reprise of Living Together, Growing Together. It has the lead in scene and then clips from the movie married to the deleted track.

I believe the scene was cut out even before the roadshow release.

That is exactly where I mentioned there was an abrupt edit, and you will notice the underscore there is "Living Together."

I believe this is correct - and therefore it would not have been possible to put it in this DVD - nor should it have been in this DVD if the filmmakers cut it prior to the film's roadshow release.  I'm sure they got bad information from the producer of the laserdisc - and even when they knew it wasn't there, that info somehow didn't get communicated to whomever wrote the packaging copy.

Dear BK:

Why is it I always come up with a question on Thursday and then forget it by the next Wednesday?

Dear BK: Why doesn't Laura throw caution to the wind and ask her question when she thinks of it?

Hmmm maybe I should see if I can get a ticket to Follies Friday night.

Strange day for me. Saw a new doctor who immediately took me off insulin. Back to the pills. Here's hoping these work better.

Sounds wonderful. According to the CD for Mack and Mabel, it's O'Connor. But then again, the side of the CD says the show's name is "Mack and Mable." So what do they know?

I think this misconception may have come from a 10 minute making of short that showed behind the scenes filming include the fertility and a moment or two of the living together reprise. About 8 minutes into the clip

And now...

I seem to be in "morning mode" lately, and that's actually sort of a good thing right now with all the prep work I'm doing right now for The Boys from Syracuse. So... Since I have some music time scheduled for tomorrow morning...

Goodnight.

I had a very interesting night tonight.  I spoke at the American Reformed Church in Orange City, IA about federal immigration law.  I presented for 30 minutes and they asked questions for an hour.  It's the first time I've had a group genuinely want to know my opinion on the current system, what I think the reform should be, how they can help etc.   I loved it

Here's the obituary for my former boss, Nick.   I've pretty much decided not to go to the service.  I might change my mind if I find someone to ride with.

Are the pills a different form of insulin, or a different drug?   (Hoping this is good news.)
