DR Jennifer, some slow swimmers are probably not really good swimmers and are just thinking about what they are doing.  I really doubt they are trying to slow you down.

Good Evening!

I seriously think there's a chance I may be in bed before midnight tonight. In fact, maybe even just around 11:00pm EST.

We shall see.

But first...

DR Jennifer this afternoon I'll be making a trip to the library to pick up LOVE YOU MORE.  I had to wait a long time for it to become available.  I guess Lisa Gardner is popular.

I'll be returning THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BRIDGE, by Mary Lawson, which I think could be considered a young adult book.  I'm curious if you would agree.

Did you read all the other books in the D.D Warren series?  If you like her ( i do) then you can reserve the next book now. It's called CATCH ME and comes out early in 2012. Love her!

I did enjoy them.  My library doesn't have the new book listed yet I will try to remember to check in a few weeks.

I'm looking forward to seeing Terrence Malick's Tree of Life. I loved The Thin Red Line, didn't like The New World, thought Badlands OK and Days of Heaven bored me. So my reaction to his films is very variable.
I'm along similar line. Loved "Thin Red Line," hated "New World." But I also loved "Badlands" and found "Days of Heaven" beautiful but cold, and I saw the latter at a time when I was really young and didn't know how to respond to cold movies.

I'm just sort of surprises that "The Tree of Life" is already on DVD. Wasn't it just in the theatres this past summer, a few months ago?

I think it was released in early Spring, although I may be mistaken.

Ummmm...where have you been the past 5 or 6 years, DR Jose?   This is "normal".  The final "Harry Potter" movie will be out the first (or second) week in November...and it was released in...what...June?

:D

DR Ron Pulliam - I know that the time span between the theatrical release of a movie and it's Blu-Ray/DVD release has been greatly truncated over the past couple of years, but... I was thinking that "Tree of Life" came out in August.  -As it turns out, it came out at the end of May.

*I blame my time in the Oklahoma! territory.

I, for one, was out of town visiting in-laws. I do not have any good stories to share, because they are very nice normal people.

*I've actually been on a juice fast the past three days. I just needed something to reset my system after dealing with the kidney stones. I, apparently, had also strained some intercostal muscles somewhere along the line, so that was just another reason to get my insides in order. And now they are. And I should be easing back into my normal eating routine by the time I land in Chicago on Wednesday morning! ::)

Oh good!   Does this mean your kidney stones are gone?

DR Jane - Yes, I believe everything has passed. I hope. I still get a twinge of back pain every now and then, but it's been nice waking up over the past few days and not feeling like my whole pelvic region... well, not feeling my pelvic region.

I can't imagine eating chicken & waffles together.  I have two best waffles.  The first was a Belgian waffle at the Mendocino Hotel.  If I weren't so full I might have ordered a second one.

A waffles is just another form of bread. You can eat fried chicken with slices of white bread, biscuits, crackers, etc. Why not a waffle? -I do know some people who keep the waffle and chicken separated when they eat "chicken and waffles".

The place I went to last week in Brooklyn, Waffle & Wolf, serves all of their sandwiches in freshly made waffles. It works quite well. It's like a waffle-taco or waffle-pita sandwich.

I'm back from the McGlinnventory and Encores! I've got some tidying and vacuuming before our DR Jose shows up.

Great seeing you earlier today, DR elmore. I'm sorry I couldn't provide more "immediate" help while I was there getting your Kindle set up.

Back from the four-mile jog and really want that slaw dog, but I think I'll be content with tuna sandwiches today.  But I REALLY want that slaw dog.
Slaw dog. Reminds me of the Varsity in Atlanta. Also a great city for chicken and waffles. I need to think of something else.

The Kindle has two books on it now. All is good.

DR elmore - Did you end up heading down to Starbucks after all? -Or are you actually able to download books from the internet/your computer via the USB cable?

Just had a nice chat with Richard Sherman - he's going to write a little something for our booklet and he's also agreed to sign the first 100 copies purchased, so that's great.

bk - Richard Sherman was so kind to me at the What If? Opening Night Party. If you could set up a dinner for the three of us while I'm in L.A. for the LACC show... :)

I'm home!! (and have been for about an hour)  I'm on my own computer...watching my own TV...petting my own cat...I'll be sleeping in my own bed...with my own pillows and blankets...take a shower in my own shower...well, you get the picture. ;)

DR George next time you visit your cousin take a good air mattress with you.

That's a good idea, Jane...I even thought about bringing my own pillow (after the first night that I slept there). :)

DR George - One of the best pieces of advice I ever got when I was going more touring was to bring my own pillows. Even if the hotel bed you happen to have that night/week is not that comfortable, your own pillow really can help you get a better night's sleep.

When you send a Twitter message, what does the little lock symbol mean?

The "little lock" means that you have protected your tweets, that only people you have approved to Follow you can see your tweets.

*You can un-protect and re-protect your tweets anytime. So, if you want to live life on the wild side for a day or two... -And see how many spam Followers you get. There seem to be lots of young women in Russia tweeting about the new iPhone lately. ::)
