I made hot buffalo chicken dip, hummus, onion dip, deviled eggs, and cocktail meatballs. With chips, baked pita chips, and celery and carrot sticks for dipping in the aforementioned dips.

Wait a minute, DR Laura?!?! NO Cherpumple?!?!?

I'm currently camped out in The Coffee Studio which is a great coffee house here in Chicago. Comfy seating, free wifi, and great coffee.

I thought I'd buy my popularity first before I let them see my goofy side, Jose.

JRand, The Human Vapor sounds interesting. Very intriguing title. Especially if it's a story of alcoholism. And I doubt that.

No it is not, it is a man who is able to turn himself into a VAPOR - he then robs banks so that he can give the money to a dancer so that she can have a recital.....

LOL!  I thought you wrote that he gave her the money for a rectal!

Great(?) minds....

Gotcha.

But what about the pesto? You could swirl some of it into the hummus you made.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of food.

Last time, everyone visited and chatted and snacked before the meeting. I heard good things about it. Tonight, one guy wants to start the meeting exactly on time. So I don't know -- maybe I'll have all that food to bring back home.

You put all that good food out and people will eat it no matter what the other guy says.   Are there plates to go with it making the food portable :)

Good Evening!

Greetings from Andersonville!

*Or, as some of the locals like to call it: Mandersonville. -Yes, there are some "special interest establishments" in this part of town. Plus a lot of Swedish businesses.

An interesting combination.

Maybe they will want to wait and put the food out at the end.

I am awaiting calls from the Hyundai repair shop and from The Motion Picture Country Home's Elder Care section.

I didn't realize that the Motion Picture County Home also handles car insurance?

No, no....not car insurance, DR JoseSPiano.   It handles old Hyundais...but they have to be in good repair before they're checked in 'cause they don't do auto repairs at the Motion Picture Country Home.

Ah! Thank You, DR Ron Pulliam, for 'splaining it to me.

Whew, I bet it is going to be a ghost town around here for the next couple of hours.  The World Series is starting in just a couple of minutes.

I'm shocked Craig isn't home yet.  He called to ask if we wanted something from the market.  I didn't know he wasn't here.

I assume he is cheering for the Texas Rangers.

BK:

I just read that Warner Brothers Archive has pulled Lost Horizon from their website and I was wondering if you heard about this and the reason why.

One site said it was because it was released in mono rather the stereo. But I respect your knowledge more than other people who bitch whether a film has an intermission or not.

I know nothing about it but can pretty much guarantee they would NEVER pull it because it was mono.  Maybe they ran out?

Dear BK,

I have been watching old tv shows on hulu.com. Why is it that sometimes an actor is credited at the very end with his character? Like:  And Tom Poston as "George."

Is it a good thing to get last billing? And why with the character name?

Depends on where the actor was in his career.  Sometimes if they couldn't get the position they wanted up front, they'd do the And as thing at the end.  Adding the character name makes it seem more important.

I took a bad spill this afternoon, out in the parking lot.   My feet were all tangled up under my wheelchair.  Fortunately, one of the women that lives in the other half of the building, came home and helped me up.  Otherwise I would probably still be out there.

Time for me to head to rehearsal...and the first time that I'll be running sound.  HOPEFULLY, they have all the cues mapped out and I'll know when to do what I need to do.

Be back later!

I hiked on Mt. Ashland today & we went to the top of the ski lift & walked around.  This is my favorite photo-darn since I didn't take it.
