Gnocchi - Well-made gnocchi are hard to find, but when I find them...

And usually topped with a basic tomato or marinara sauce, or bolognese.
Gnocchi alla Romana - This is version made with semolina, formed into a roll, sliced and then baked or broiled. Oh, and there's lots of cheese in the dough. -With a nice ragu.
Gnocchi gnudi - Yeah, more pasta dumplings, but these are ricotta-based, and a lot of time they're also made with spinach. -With pesto or just butter and parmesan.
And I have to say that a big of bowl of spaghetti and meatballs still provides lots of "comfort".
