DR JMK

Did you post the other day that you got the 5.1 version of Lost Horizon? If you did, where did you originally buy it from--Amazom or WB Store?

Are other parts of the country familiar with little two year old Sky Metalwala, here in Washington?  His mother claimed that she ran out of gas taking him to the hospital a week ago last Sunday, so she left him in the car while she walked to a gas station (a mile away) with her four year old daughter.  The boy was gone when she returned.  Funny thing!  The car was not out of gas; and a very similar story had aired on LAW AND ORDER SVU, the night before.

I saw this on the news in Hiton Head! What's currently going on?

I am thinking of buying a book reader.

If you have a

Kindle (Amazon)
Nook (Barnes and Noble)
IPad (Apple)
Are there others?

If you have one what are your opinions?

I have had a Kindle for two years now, Michael, and I love it.

I guess haven't done my research well enough.

I thought these devises with e-readers could download books from anywhere.

My next question would be why did you choose the e-reader that you did?

I have a kindle, which I love... until I got my iPad, which I love also.  My kindle is collecting dust as the iPad is more convenient I guess.  The only issue with the iPad is that it's backlit and make my eyes tire faster.

Well, the latest is that they found the mother had posted on in internet site looking for a Sugar Daddy.  And less than two weeks before Sky disappeared, the mother inquired on what would be needed to send Sky to her parents in Russia.

But the police keep handling this mother with kid gloves.

DR MBarnum I'm sorry about your friend.  Something similar happened to my aunt but fortunately my uncle called her the second day & went over when she didn't answer the phone.

By any chance is her dog a particular breed?  If so there should be a rescue group for the breed with people who foster.

He is a standard poodle.

Another thought besides a poodle rescue group is if the breeder of the dog is local.  Good breeders will help in situations like this.

I'm back from the dentist. I have two more appointments. One more to finish the prep and take the impression and then the final one to put in the new crown.

I didn't remember. Thanks for telling me again.

According to WB Customer service doesn't know anything about it. I quoted them what the Grover Crisp, Executive VP of
Asset Management, Film Restoration & Digital Mastering at Sony Pictures. said about it. They told me to call back in a week. They put notes into my account

Crisp: Quite frankly, I still don’t know how it happened, except that somewhere in the manufacturing chain there was a mix-up and the wrong audio file was encoded.   An honest mistake, but one that is obviously embarrassing and for which we apologize.  The problem has been rectified now and as of last week all new discs manufactured have the correct 5.1 and anyone who wants a replacement can exchange it at the point of sale.   All sellers should be aware of this.

We also have a missing child in Arizona. Five-year-old Jhessye Shockley. Her father is in prison, and her mother has served time for beating up her older siblings.

I'm having fun on facebook chatting with my first boyfriend.  He remembers me as his first crush.  Is that sweet or what.  I didn't think he would remember me & Craig said who forgets something like that.

On Amazon, they now have a message for Lost Horizon:
Quote
Item Under Review
While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!)

We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.

I ordered mine from Amazon last month (at $4 less than what Warner is selling it for directly) and it's definitely in mono.  I should send it back.

The lump sum that I will receive is more than enough to keep me comfortable until SSA Disability or otherwise starts.  Most of the lump sum will be rolled over and invested to give me a monthly stipend.  However, the amount that I plan to cash out, after paying income tax, will pay off any and all debts that I owe as well as paying my rent for the next year and all the utilities, plus food for Nicky (and maybe for me).

I just confirmed we're victims of credit card fraud.  Luckily it's an old MC number we don't use anymore, but I've spent the past half hour sorting it all out.  I must say I received exceptional customer service all around.
