Good morning, all! It's been another email morning: the cast of EILEEN, DEAREST ENEMY logistics, and social calls. I will spend some time this morning listening seriously to the Act Two tracks of EILEEN, and then I've got more ROBERTA work to tackle before next Monday.
I cannot locate my full scores for DEAREST ENEMY, so I must have shipped them to either the Library of Congress or Miami University in the past 6 years. Since I need a set to prepare the new score and parts, I asked R&H to make me a set. The originals have been sent to my friende Joseph, who's doing the engraving, so tomorrow I need to pick up the scores from him, photocopy them and return them to him. The logistics are now resolved to everyone's satisfaction.
I got a beautiful email from my beloved Rachel Kelly, my Irish soubrette on EILEEN, who's singing the role of Beatrice in Berlioz' opera BEATRICE ET BENEDICT for Sir Colin Davis, the UK's leading Berlioz conductor, and I had to wish her luck. I also heard from Steven LaBrie, who's back from singing Schaunard in LA BOHEME in Santa Barbara, and I'm happy that he feels it went well.
More coffee!
