Wow, just think between the two auctions, $85,000.00 was spent on two dirty t-shirts and a dog

Thanks for the compliments on the photo.  We had our Christmas Concert today.  It was fun.  I'm one of those people who tends to make mistakes a lot in rehearsal but rises to the occasion in concert.  I only missed a couple notes, I'm getting better.   I'm really happy that they gave us our new music today even though the next rehearsal isn't until January 4.  The next concert is for the Children's Theater Group, so it's all theater songs.  Should be fun.

That's great Cilla!

A very unhappy ending for ONCE UPON A TIME tonight. I hate that queen.

While I napped Richard unpacked all ornaments and I've now put them all on the Christmas tree.  Just have to string the beads and spread the skirt underneath.

KILL BILL isn't really a "trim the tree" movie, but that's what Richard's watching while we work...

I'm back from my day in the theatre district.   It wasn't nearly as great as yesterday, but still a nice day.   I went to the Book of Mormon Lottery.  It was really something.  You can ask for 1 or 2 tickets on your entry.  Well, since there was a winner who only wanted one ticket, the last winner could also only have one ticket.  I think three people turned it down because their mate/companion couldn't go.  Then the guy called name after name and no one responded!  I thought my chances were getting better!  Then he called one more and the young woman decided to take one ticket.

So it was over to the TKTS booth.  I got a ticket for Chinglish.  It was very amusing.  It's about an American businessman who's in China trying to make a deal to make signs in English for a small (4 million population) city.  The play shows how very different our cultures are.  I really enjoyed it, especially the English translations of Chinese that were printed on a screenn above the stage.

After the show I made my way over to 44th Street (from 48th) for the On a Clear Day premiere.  I saw all the camera people and red carpet, but no stars. Maybe there had been some earlier.

I then went to see David Hyde Pierce and Rosie Perez in a show called "Close Up Space."  (it's "close" as in close the door----David plays an editor).  Let's just say it's not my cup of tea.  The acting was good and there were a few amusing moments, but it isn't a show I'd recommend.  One good thing--it was only 90 minutes with no intermission!

Well, I guess I'd better get going.  The wi-fi is free only in the lobby of my hotel--I think it's something like $15 a day in the room.

I have a 12:40 pm flight tomorrow.   I hope it's as smooth as my flight here.

Goodnight!

The audience today was only about 200 people.  We didn't expect too much.  Last night the symphony had their big Christmas concert and there have been a number of other concerts this past week and thre are more this coming week.  Funny thing is we probably played for more people yesterday as well as being live on the radio.

I think I need to take another nap... Which, I guess, is a good thing, since I would like to wake up tomorrow by 8:00am EST, rather than 8:00am PST.
