Speaking of idiot drivers--perhaps this will put your experiences in perspective BK.  The front page of the Oregonian has a heart breaking story about a drug addled man who crashed head on into a pregnant woman, putting her into a vegetative state and creating huge problems for her unborn baby, who was delivered successfully via C section.  It's now two years later, the woman is still in a vegetative state, the baby has a shunt to drain fluid from her brain and at sentencing yesterday, what does this idiot do?  Erupts into a profanity laced rant at the woman's family who was (were?) trying to give their victim impact statements.

Betsy and her mother are in Seattle this weekend so it is a bachelor weekend here Chez K.

What - didn't she leave you with an extensive Honey-Do list to occupy you and the boys?

DR Jane that is very weird about Bryan and them saying they would see him in july. He should probasbly follow up. Although it was probably just someone answering who did not read what he wrote properly.  I also think his friend should follow up because there had to be an error somewhwew. His first choice must think he got matched somewhere else.

A computer does the final matches.  How one & one don't match up we are all clueless.   I feel very bad for his friend who has found his own match, only it is in internal medicine when he wanted to do emergency medicine.

Bryan knows how darn lucky he is to be going to, possibly, the best program/hospital in the country.

Here I think peanut butter and strawberry jam is more popular. I really like it.
I'm not a fan of strawberry jam.  My favorite is plum cinnamon but I can't find it anymore.  I like blackberry & huckleberry very much.  I have apricot jam I mix with pineapple vanilla bean we got in Bora Bora.

Note to BK:

Take care - those idiot drivers have been known to exercise their version of 2nd Amendment rights and shoot another driver who dares challenge their sense of entitlemnt.

Zef is being a real pest - he is taking to going into the yeard and barking at the toddler currenly staying next door. I suspect he'll not have that pleasure for too long. The neighbor parents think it's gteat fun to have the little one happily run up and down the center of the road - Dad even plays chase with him. Mom went for a walk, down the enter of the road, with a baby in a carriage and had Junior romping about with her - no attempt to hold his hand or keep his activities to the side of the road. With this "street conditioning" he'll be road kill before Pre-school.

I'm up.  I was up at nine but stayed in bed and eventually got another ninety minutes of sleep with some very weird dreams.  The promised rains of yesterday came today - only a drizzle now, but quite heavy a couple of hours ago.  We needed it.

Speaking of driving accidents, and recovering from them, that's the beginning lead-in subject of this

As usual, my Kritzerland package arrived after everyone else's.  Did anyone's head roll vis a vis the typos on the CD label?

Home from a lovely breakfast with my good friend Angela who is on her spring break from Northwestern.  I went to the store and purchased a corned beef and some already cut up veggies (THANK YOU SAFEWAY!!!) and have decided that I will put the corned beef in the oven,  boil the potatoes and carrots, and stir fry the cabbage in the wok.

Well, you've read the notes, the notes drove the point about drivers home, and now it is time for you to post until the driven cows come home.

I agree with your rant, BK; however, there is another frightening trend in modern society.  Instead of just rolling down their windows and yelling at you, now, they are pointing their guns and shooting!

I have packed us a lunch: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, carrot sticks, grapes, and apples. I have to set a good example for the child. I really wanted to pack a Hostess Cupcake.

Peanut butter and jelly sandwich Laura? I've never heard of such a thing (at least not on this side of the Atlantic). Sounds revolting ;D

I am home and very tired: it's been a long long day. My breakfast with Jeff was fun. He says we defibitely saw PYGMALION and went backstage to see Amanda, but he claims he was not with me at CARRIE. Who the heck could it have been?

DR TCB, my shift at the book sale today was only 2 hours.

Here's an Izzy's Reuben from Cincinnati for you:
