TWO SHIPS PASSING IN THE NIGHT
« on: March 28, 2012, 12:01:15 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes passed in the night, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently passing in the night and are very confused.

Barry Manilow recorded a song called "Ships."

We're two ships that pass in the night
And we smile when we say it's alright
We're still here
It's just that we're out of sight
Like those ships that pass in the night....

Now I want to listen to the whole song.  A couple of weeks ago, I found my copy of "The Complete Collection and Then Some..."  I think that I'll take it to work and listen to it.  It's four CDs and a DVD!

:D

Actually, the version that I have has four CDs and a videotape!  I wonder if it's copy-guarded or if I can make my own DVD.  I'll find out right now!

Morning all.  Sorry I didn't post last night.  I am having issues with the house--permit issues.  It seems our permit department didn't bother to check up on Turner after his 60 err 90 days were up.  There are several "open" permits that they never inspected and now that this has come about they want either me or the new contractor to "take over" those permits.  That means that they will come and inspect the work Turner did 2 YEARS ago and since the permit will now be in either of our names, if they find something wrong, they will "red" flag it and who ever is on the permit will be responsible for fixing it and or the fines that go along with it.

I am beside myself will anger and will be speaking to the head of the department hopefully today.

These people are trying to do a good thing for me  and it's not fair or right that they should have to clean up both Turners and the Permitting departments mess.  That is not going to happen.  If I have to get the news involved again I will.

Gotta go.  Got a broom to catch.

Good morning, all! I slept quite poorly, but that seems my status quo most of the time and I am not happy about it.  I have absolutley no memories of any dreams, but I slept fitfully, was wide awake around 3:30, had a splitting headache around 5:00, and dragging myself wearily out of bed at 7:45 seemed the best option.

Today, more work on the ROBERTA "Wardrobe Scene," possibly a messenger delivery of the final masters of the Herbert songs to be approved, and whatever fresh hell arrives from Dublin or other environs today.

I fear this will put us into Cinemascope, but the Herbert songs have landed on Amazon:

BK re types of ereaders. I am not sure how popular KOBO is in the US. But it is the main ereader in Canada and popular in some other parts of the world. There is a huge Kobo store. Kobos ae what our huge bookchain CHAPTERS sells. They are everywhere here.Although like I said I really do not know how many people in the US use them.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

Who pays the actors' royalties for television shows?  The service/network broadcasting the reruns or the production company?

There is snow on the ground!  Not a lot. But just enough so i can see it everywhere.

Mother Nature was such a tease with that summer weather. It is cold now! :(

So, this morning I wake up around 6:30 with a charlie horse.  I step out of bed and, while trying to avoid my dog who sleeps on the floor next to the bed, I trip and smash my head on the pointed corner of the dresser.

In five seconds, I am covered in so much blood that you would think that I'd been attacked by Jason Voorhees or Norman Bates.  My wife is pressing paper towels against my head, and I'm thinking: "We can't go to the emergency room.  We were there two days ago with my wife's sliced finger (3 stitches), and the people there will think that we're trying to kill each other."

If it's the same as writers, it's paid by the production company.

Oh dear DR DRUXY.....you are going to end up the local paper!!!  The same thing happened to Annette - but she had to have plastic surgery to fix her face!

And thanks for the answer.

Wednesday morning greetings!  Our lawn guys woke us up about 7am, which was OK with me because now I've already been to the vampire's lab for a blood test and I'm getting ready to do my basement walk.  About 11:30 I'll throw tonight's dinner in the crockpot and head to the library where I began my career 38+ years ago for a discussion of SARAH'S KEY.
