That was late for me today.  Been a "day" so far, and still have Annie this eve.  Had some "drama" with another teacher (who is also a principal) towards the end of the day.  Had a long talk with her and things are fine.

STAGE CDs have arrived. I hope I get the chance to listen to them soon. Very soon.

Cool!  I hope I get mine tomorrow or Friday, at the latest. :D

Maybe someone thinks I'm joking about getting off this page.  Seriously, where in tarnation IS everyone.  This will NOT do and it's not going to be pretty.

I'm at work and am just about to leave.  My sister wants me to come over and help her with something, but I can barely keep my eyes open.  I'm going to go home and have a little nap, then go over.

Be back later.

DR George I could use a nap.  Keith was very restless last night & elbowed me a number of times in the little bed we are currently sleeping in.

This morning I woke up feeling rather disheartened & didn't feel like meeting up with my hiking group.  I'm glad I did & had a nice hike.  Later Keith & I took Sherlock into town.  He loves shopping with us & all the attention he gets.  Now he is resting on the deck while Keith is weeding.

I take that back, just as I was about to post Sherlock began barking because Craig was coming up the drive way.  I had to let him in to greet Craig & then he drank a ton of water (prednisone makes him thirsty).  Now he is on his bed with his new squeaky bear.

Sounds like Sherlock is having a great day

I am as packed as I can be the night before a trip.  Thank you for the "getting things done" vibes, which worked like a charm.  It was especially good to complete those tasks that were keeping me awake between 3 and 5am!  I even managed to finish up the Boardwalk Empire disc here from Netflix and watch some more Downton Abbey (which we bought) with Richard.  Now I'm going to set up my morning coffee and go to bed.

'night!

re Santa -  when the Vixter  was 6 she said some of the kids in her class  told her that Santa  was their parents -  so I asked her - are these NICE kids?
Well not really - she answered they're kind of mean

Well you know Santa only visits nice kids.  But even mean kids' Moms and Dads love their children and they probably feel bad that Santa won't come to their house so they buy presents for their kids...

My brother has three girls - one a year oldert ahn the Vixter , one the same age as the Vixter and one 5 years younger than Vixter --- when the oldest of the girls  thought she had some truths she was ready to share with her much younger sibling  my SIL decreed "If you don't believe, you don't receive....."

Santa has only stopped visiting within th epast couple of years --- I miss him

Have started "Mildred Pierce" tonight. Strange, all of the story seems familiar and yet it's taking two hours to tell only a third of what the Joan Crawford version told in two hours. I'm enjoying it and the pacing is right for what it wants to do, but it is slower. Much slower.

Images from the food booth I worked last night. We sold yakitori, or marinated chicken breast on a stick.

These two women have been running the booth for more than 30 years. They started out telling people it was really yak meat and then they developed the tag line, "Get your hot breasts!"

Of course, they're nice Lutheran ladies.  :)
