Could one of you very smart people help me?  the weather page of The Oregonian is filled with these weird yellow discs for the next week.  Does anyone know what that means?

I noticed a similar weird yellow disc in the sky today but it's been dull and wet for so long that I've forgotten what it's called.

And the word of the day is: UNGULATE!

And The Song Of The Day Is:  BABY ELEPHANT WALK

Are there lyrics to this? I've never heard them before if there are

This is a question for DR Ben

There is an app for my IPhone that can play broadcast from BBC 1-4. I am wonder if you can tell me which one would be the best for me. I enjoy listening to musicals, classic jazz, american popular songbook and cabaret. If you could direct me to the best one I would be most appreciative.

Yes, there are and they are HORRIBLE.  I did a vocal arrangement for my Pops choir.  The lyric is attributed to Hal David, but I've often wondered if it's really supposed to be Mack.  Worst rhyme:  "safari" with "carry" (I kid you not).

What would you rhyme with safari? Mata Hari? Kilomanjari? Rastafari? Brian Gari?

I always love seeing these artichoke blossoms at the markets. Have never bought one. The farmer vendor said you don't stick them in water, but they last for months.

I'm up.  Helper has been here already.  And had an e-mail from the East Coast Singer - who missed her flight.  She got there "a few minutes late to check-in" - you really have to be more than a few minutes late to miss a flight, but I suspect it's not the first time.  She'll arrive now at one and come straight here, but it's an hour less work time now - I originally said we had to work a full week - and even that's not enough - to shape and change and fix.  That became three days.  I think you can see the problem and it's not one that's going to change, I think.  So, we'll do what we can in three days, and we'll have three days in NY before that show.

I've been back from the Encores! luncheon for about 90 minutes. I've spent the time redoing the furniture to open up space for the air conditioner. I saw a couple of friends I hadn't seen in far too long, and it was a lot of fun.
