Scrolling on the computer or using the old microfilm files too long can give me motion sickness.

I forgot about that.  It was years before I could use a computer.  Even now if Keith is scrolling while I'm looking at the computer I have to close my eyes.

I get dizzy shopping for clothes in places where the display racks move - like the ones suspended on chains.

I don't see those very often.  Do you?

Not too often, DR Jane.  They're usually in shops or departments for which I'm not the demographic  ;)

New fountain arrived.  Smashed to bits.  I returned it to the local Home Depot which processed a refund.

From Bruce:
Quote
Take a break, then get a beautiful new puppy!

After the last two dogs I said no more & it took a year in-between each.  This time Keith agrees.  I still haven't gotten another cat so we shall see.

I am ready to be dogless for the first time in my life after Beegee and Blanche depart.  Betsy is threatening divorce.  (That's nothing new).   ;)

I remember when Solo passed and my Mom said "No MORE dogs!"  Wisely, I agreed with her but hid my smile because I knew better.  Sure enough about 2 months later Mom was heard to say "I wish we had a dog."  I ignored her.  "I wish I had a dog to keep me company durning the day when your at work".  "No more dogs, you said", I told her.  Then it was, "Let's go to the pound and pick out a dog".  "Just a little one about a year old so we will know how big it will be."  I said "alright".

Well, the pound was closed the day she wanted to go. We had to go to Walmart.  As I was backing the car out of the parking space,  I saw a kid bend over a box and put **something** in the box.  I told Mom there are either kittens or puppies up there.  She asked me to park the car so we could go look.  I warned her, if it was puppies and we looked, we would take and she wanted a dog that was at least a year old so we would know how big it was.  Mom said, "Oh, we just look."   I said "OK" but I knew better.

Sure enough they were puppies and to make a long story short, that how we got Bear.  A five pound puppy that grew into the Great Dane, Lab, Shepard, PONY mix that we both grew to love so much.

If something happens to Sheena and Toby there will be no more dogs.   Well...............maybe just a "little" one.

Hmmm only Fox Channel 59 doesn't look so hot - so they may be having transmission problems.....everything else is as good if not better than the old TV.

But yes DR JANE - I am a Virgo - I would not hesitate to return it.....the SAME DAY I bought it!

Before we got our first dog we were at a pet store (before we knew what horrors they were) looking at puppies and wanting one desperately.  I asked the older couple next to us why they didn't take the puppy they liked.  The response was they were done having pets.  At the time I couldn't imagine such a thing, now I get it.

For me it is harder not to have a cat than a dog.

OK.  This sounds better.  Vibes it is 59 & not your new tv.

I just learned that the Tabard Theatre in London is performing JUBILEE this summer as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. I won't get to see it, but it will be a lovely royalty check, I'm sure!

I watched THE IRON LADY dvd last night.  It wasn't really what i was expecting. I knew Meryl Streep was going to play old Margaret Thatcher. But for some reason i didn't realize that that was most of the story. I would have much rather just seen the actual story of Thatcher from when she was young.

I totally agree.

Last night I watched Stars and Stripes Forever which I hadn't seen since it was presented during the first season of NBC Saturday Night at the Movies.

It was not very good....and Robert Osborne pointed out that Clifton Webb opted to do this film instead of doing THE BAND WAGON at MGM.....Jack Buchanan did the role instead.  Webb's reasoning was that SSF was a starring role....and it certainly was ALL WEBB ALL THE TIME, mostly marching and pretending to lead a band.

What I did notice however, was the the couple who played Mr & Mrs Benjamin Harrison were the same couple who played Mr and Mrs Strauss in TITANIC the very next year.....and that the actor was Roy Gordon who later played the doctor in ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN......
