My friend Kim Criswell has a role in the new comedy with Hugh Dancy about the invention of the vibrator, HYSTERIA; perhaps there will be dancing dildos.

I hope I can see it this weekend. It's playing at Lincoln Plaza at 64th and Broadway.

I can just hear Richard's reaction if I suggested we see that next week...

Oh, come on, live a little.  Take him and just don't tell him what it's about.  They have defibrillators in all of the theaters now.  :)

LOL, DR JMK!  It's amazing how you and DRs Jane and John G, without ever meeting him, picked right up on the humor here!

In other, other news I received a very attractive cocktail dress today that once belonged to Frances Farmer.  Who knows where I'll wear it.  ;)
If you laid off the carbs, you might be able to wear it to a screening of "Hysteria" with Elmore, Richard and Ginny.

I've known him for 53 yars and I don't think he's that prudish! I think he might enjoy a good comedy about masturbation.

I just downloaded 10 songs from SMASH on iTunes, then burned them onto a CD.

Several of my favorites are not on the official album, so this way I could pick and choose.
I am curious which ones are your favorites?  There are some very catchy tunes.

The 3 that are not on the album are:

Don't Forget Me
Don't Say Yes Until I Finish Talking
Second Hand White Baby Grand

The Others, which are on the album:

Stand
Brighter Than the Sun
Let Me Be Your Star
The 20th Century Fox Mambo
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Let's Be Bad
History Is Made at Night

It is so nice to have songs where you can understand the lyrics and music that you can hum along with.  I was beginning to think that was a lost art.

Picked up a few packages and an important envelope, did some banking, and am now home for the rest of the day and evening.  One of the packages contained my order of Flicks!

5 scariest:  "The Exorcist" and "Alien" would be at the top of my list.  I know I'm blanking on some things.  Maybe "The Omen".  "Bird With the Crystal Plumage" might be in there.

I see that John Doyle will direct a new dramatization of THE EXORCIST; I think he's a nice gentleman, but I sure don't think much of his work as a director!

Today is a work day.  Of course.  Oh well.

DR GEORGE every time I see a promo for GREY'S ANATOMY, I can't help thinking - is this show STILL ON?  And every promo has one of the characters being fired or one of the character's life is in jeopardy.  I saw the plane crash promo several times.....and Sandra Oh was making the same acting face she always makes.....and I couldn't help but remember at least SIX promos this season when she made the same face while being told something she had done would result in her being FIRED from the hospital......but still she remains.

Jack, that's pretty much the way I feel about "Private Practice." :P is what I say to that show.

Y'all are very close to describing what works for me, which is basic Atkins-style low carbing.  Which I was just saying that I've got to start again.  It works amazingly for me.  I'm a veritable poster child for low-carbing.  A VERITABLE POSTER CHILD.  Not that I don't love me my carbs.  I adore them.  But there's no question that that's what puts the weight on.  Okay, the fat.  That's what puts the FAT on.

...and feed the brain.  I've read that carbohydrates are the only energy source for the brain.  If one totally eliminates carbs, then the brain can't function.

One of GREY'S ANATOMY's head writers is a former singing waitress on the cruise line I was Music Director for.  Her sister was in a Woody Allen film, IIRC.

When "Something About Mary" came out I was staying with a friend in Michigan.  She was excited to have company to go see it.  Her very religious watched another movie at the theater complex we went to.  Craig was living here at the time at went to see it shortly after I returned home, said he liked it but we wouldn't.  My response was I thought it was hysterical & I was going back to see it with Keith
