I spent WAY too much money on eBay last night.

Don't you hate love it when that happens??

Yesterday, I managed to pass three kidney stones in a twelve-hour time frame.  They were accompanied by the usual agony, moaning and groaning, and blood.

I have MY cast....and it's a pretty good one.....and most of the conflicts are within the first two weeks, so I can live with most of them.

Enjoyed the photos and DR MBARNUM's bowling story....and the picture of Sherlock, of course.

DR JANE I have not seen the commercial again.....but I will keep looking.

Someone else mentioned it was a foreign commercial so I looked for foreign vacuum cleaners but it didn't help.

Druxy, I have a question for you:  do you think there's a market for a film editor to put together book trailers for self-published authors?

I am exploring the same market.

Do you need a good film editor?   ;D

Actually, after discovering iMovie, I have a great time creating these trailers.  Once I have the concept, I can usually put them together in an hour or so.

I don't mind the Blythe Danner commercial.  I have always said that I would watch Ms Danner read the phone book onstage, so this is an improvement.  She is hardly the first actress to do these kinds of commercials.  I think Sally Field was the first one that I remember.

Oh dear! My fridge/freezer has packed up and the service company can't fix it until next week. I've had to throw out all the food. When I was a child we didn't have a fridge but had a cold box which contained blocks of ice, which a trader regularly came round delivering. I have no idea how to manage without a fridge now!

I complained a few days ago about the cats digging up the plants. I put largish stones around the plants but the cats are still digging up the plants by shoving the stones out of the way. How can cats move stones 4" x 3" x 2" weighing one and a half pounds?

Does anyone here own a Keurig coffee maker?

Yes. It's great if you only want one or two cups of coffee. Or if you and the person with whom you live like different kinds/strengths of coffee.

When we moved from Los Angeles to New Jersey the driver of our moving truck decided to quite before making our delivery.  It took two weeks before our truck, in tact thank G-d, on the side of the road.  It was cold enough we could keep a few basics on the porch.  That worked fine for about a week when the weather warmed up.  I had an ant filled mess to clean up.

That just makes me pale at the thought. My sister has to go back to the hospital Tuesday because they didn't get the second too-big-to-pass stone. We're all in a really mess with those ugly things.
