I have taped enough orchestra parts today, and I think I will head home, pondering dinner and other things.

I will only say that due to screen glare the first "t" of your message looked like an "r" and gave an entirely different meaning to your post.

Hey - it's been a busy few days.  I think it finally caught up to me as I was playing for a funeral this afternoon.  I called my sub and she's playing the evening Mass and I went home to just veg.

On the "weirdest things have happened" front, I'm playing drums for this production of Grease that I have MDing.  They aren't "real" drums, but drums nonetheless.  Couldn't find a good drummer with the budget (almost nothing) I have, so my pal Ken is playing keys and I'm playing drums.  It's going to be a long week!

Two hours later and I'm finished with the commentary - this one was HARD because we're not dealing with shows or history - just stuff about Randy Newman.  So, now all that's left is the Backstage article, which I may start later this evening.  That shouldn't take all that long - they want a very specific kind or article and it can't be more than eight hundred words.

Farm it out to Lois Kibbee.  She'll have it done within 6 months, tops.

(That's a little joke for JR).

A spot of good news. It seems I paid too much tax last year and have received a refund.

Me Too!  I got a check back from the IRS for $11.48.  Wheeeeee!

In the mail today was a beautiful card and a very soft, little, stuffed Bernese Mountain dog from our DR Edisaurus.

And after my heart attack, she sent me a mix tape (well, CD) of "heart songs."

Vixmom, can you explain the auto accident comments?

a person who MUST remain nameless hit the gas pedal instead of the brake to the detriment of a vehicle owned by the passenger and not the driver - no other vehicles were involved and all parties are safe ---- whichof course is the important thing

as I keep reminding myself

Cilla, did you ever buy the ridingl lawn mower?  I found one I thought would work really well for you.

I love it!!!  No, I haven't bought one, but I need to.  It's already getting too hot to do the whole lawn. This weekend it was too wet to do thw whole lawn.  I did get the part by the street done on Thursday so it looks ok.  No one can see the jungle in the back yard!

Greeting from Buffalo!  My flight from Baltimore-Washington International Airport went without a hitch.  The plane even arrived 10 minutes early!

Went to a middle school graduation party tonight.  Drinks and a sit down dinner at the country club.   The honoree was born in Vietnam and adopted by a single mom when she was in her early 50s.  She's a great mom and they are very close.  It was really a thank you for everyone who has helped out in her daughter's life so far.   Quite a fun evening
