Hello, everyone.

Very nice Hanukkah cards!

I can never remember how to spell Hannukah, Channuka. Does that jeopardize my position as an honorary Jew?

Jane - no I haven't seen any of these films - this will be the first year, thanks to these screeners, where I actually seen more than two or three of the year's movies.

Three more screeners have arrived via UPS: The Master (which I've seen and hated), Lincolon (very happy to see this), and Silver Linings Playbook.  Good stuff.

I don't think so since it seems to be spelled many ways.  I've always preferred Chanukah.

I'm interested in your opinion of them.  It should be fun for you having so many to watch.

I suppose they aren't all fun to watch. ;)

So, BK...what will you do with these screeners after you've watched them? ::)

We are asked to destroy them immediately after viewing.  Not sure if I will or not, but into the closet they go for now.

I'm off to the Theater Artists Olympia monthly board meeting.  It shouldn't take too long...not much is happening right now.

Be back later.

I understand them not wanting you to share the movies so people will pay to watch them, but destroy them-can't imagine doing that.

There was a shooting in a mall outside of Portland.  I believe this is the same mall Bryan worked in.

I have a FB friend who left the mall a little while before the shooting began.  I'm glad she had left.

Back from auditions.  Not a huge turnout, but providing they get the thing cast, I told them I'd play in the pit (small theater, not an actual pit) since Feb-March is an ideal time for a project like a show.

I haven't seen it, but it looks like fun.

Needed some gift bags, so I stopped at Big Lots on the way home. That, of course, meant I had to look through the DVDs to see if there were anything I didn't have. So, amid the flotsam and jetsam of Hugh Grant and Christian Slater movies, I found an Alice Faye flick, A Night in Rio, that I didn't have. Then there was "A Tale of Cinderella" with orchestrations by some fellow named Larry Moore. Needless to say, I grabbed it and then looked for looked for more, but it was the only copy to be had.

Nice haul.  Somebody tipped me off to Big Lots a couple of years ago and I went a few times (the nearest ones are a 40-minute drive) and grabbed a couple of things, but boy you have to wade through the dreck to find them.  This shall be the inspiration to drop by next week when I'll be near one of them.

DR TCB congratulations on driving yourself to PT.  I remember how great it felt not to be dependent on someone to drive me.  Having to find friends to do it must be much more difficult than asking family.

They are both pretty difficult.
